The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and CEPS Administrative team on planning and implementing college strategic initiatives. This includes supporting CEPS administrative leaders in equity-focused program assessment and accreditation, culturally responsive curriculum and program development, cultivation of business and community partnerships, and strategic management of course offerings and scheduling for the college. The Role:
The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. The Associate Dean also serves on a variety of college and university committees and acts in the Dean's absence.&nbsp;

Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a discipline associated with programs represented in the College of Education and Professional Studies. A record of teaching effectiveness, professional leadership, and scholarship sufficient to support tenure in one of the CEPS’s academic departments. Demonstrated successful departmental or college-level administrative, leadership, and budget experience in an institution of higher education. Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of inclusion and equity issues within a residential liberal arts environment Collaborative and forward-thinking leadership style with the ability to cultivate and maintain strategic internal and external partnerships to benefit the success of students, colleagues, and initiatives. Vice President for Research
Wayne State University (Wayne State/WSU), a premier public research university in the heart of Detroit, invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Research (VPR).
The Vice President for Research serves as a member of the university's executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President, and works closely with the Provost and other members of the President’s Cabinet. The Vice President for Research is responsible for leading an office to mobilize and enhance Wayne State University's research capabilities and productivity; facilitating successful competition for external funding; and successfully demonstrating WSU's expertise in knowledge generation to respond to the regional and state needs of government, business, organizations, and individuals. Wayne State is Michigan’s only urban research university, and holds the Carnegie Foundation’s highest ranking for both research intensiveness and community engagement.&nbsp; Wayne State’s research and development expenditures totaled nearly $242.2 million in fiscal year 2022 — a 10.9% increase since 2014. Wayne State has world-class research programs in the sciences, engineering, social sciences, education, law and humanities. The VPR will work closely with schools and colleges to expand external funding opportunities and to support faculty research and collaborations.
As the senior research officer of the university, the Vice President for Research is responsible for collaborating with relevant constituencies to develop and implement a vision, plan, and policies to guide and expand the university's research portfolio, and work with faculty to oversee critical aspects of the university's research infrastructure and operations.
Direct reports to the Vice President for Research currently include assistant/associate vice presidents, directors, staff members within the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR). The Division of Research consists of Sponsored Programs Administration, the Office of Research Compliance, the Division of Laboratory Animal Research, and the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. Four of the university’s 29 centers and institutes also report to the Vice President for Research.

 PRIMARY PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY: This position will work closely with and report to the Dean for the Borra College of Health Sciences to ensure the successful development and completion of accreditation, evaluation and assessment initiatives. The Director will regularly review accreditation standards and elements, identify, and prioritize areas for improvement, and oversee the curriculum analysis and outcomes data to foster opportunities for quality improvement across all specialized accreditors of the BCHS. The Director will oversee the quality improvement efforts to ensure a high-quality medical education program that meets its strategic planning objectives as well as maintenance of accreditation and regulatory standards.

 JOB COMPONENTS/PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Lead and support the development and submission of on-going specialized accreditation processes and reporting requirements for all BCHS programs</li>
<li>Develop and mature plans for continuous quality improvement in the Borra College of Health Sciences, specifically as related to the strategic plan, the core competencies, and accreditation standards and elements.</li>
<li>Maintain data collection, databases and documentation relevant to accreditation requirements</li>
<li>Lead quality improvement data summits, regular meetings and sessions across BCHS programs to discuss data/outcomes, compliance, &amp; priorities and ensure readiness for all self-studies and annual reporting</li>
<li>Monitor changes in accreditation standards and support BCHS programs in applying new standards and accreditor expectations</li>
<li>Oversee annual and interim reporting to accrediting bodies.</li>
<li>Analyze and communicate trends, outcomes, strengths, and weaknesses pertinent to accreditation to key stakeholders in the Borra College of Health Sciences.</li>
<li>Work with the College leadership and faculty to develop and/or update policies required by accrediting bodies.</li>
<li>Provide oversight and guidance to BCHS faculty and staff to monitor student learning outcomes and direct initiatives to improve curriculum, assessment and evaluation strategies.</li>
<li>Report to and work closely with the Dean and leadership team to facilitate strategic changes in the curriculum to enhance and improve medical education based on outcomes data and analysis.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as delegated/assigned by the Dean; as an example, facilitating/implementing special projects.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>All qualifications are required unless otherwise indicated.</li>
<li>Master’s degree with preference given to experience in assessment, accreditation, institutional research, and program evaluation.</li>
<li>3-5 years of responsible progressive experience in higher education administration</li>
<li>Experience with program evaluation, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement programs</li>
<li>Experience with national/state/local accreditation processes for a program or school.</li>
<li>Must be committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive working and learning environment.</li>

Director of Accreditation and Continuous Improvement

Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time pathologist for appointment to join our Hematopathology Division on the School of Medicine’s clinician-teacher pathway. Clinical responsibilities will include reporting of morphology for lymph nodes, tissues, bloods and marrows, as well as flow cytometry (diagnostic and minimal residual disease testing) and may include molecular diagnostic testing, hemoglobin electrophoresis and coagulation reporting, depending on the interests of the candidate. Educational activities include teaching hematology / hematopathology to students, technologists, residents and fellows. &nbsp;Applicants are expected to be involved in administrative aspects of the lab, including new test development, and develop an area of focused research / scholarly work.&nbsp;
This is a full-time, 12-month service period (July 1 – June 30) position and remains open until filled with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2024 but is flexible.
This appointment may be at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor, without tenure due to reasons of funding. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank.
The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors: $18,170 to $21,807 per month ($218,039 to $261,688 annually); Associate Professors: $21,903 to $25,696 per month ($262,831 to $308,357 annually); Professors: $26,023 to $31,796 per month ($312,274 to $381,547 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. PHI’s Senior Workforce Intervention Specialist works to improve job quality for direct care workers by contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of PHI’s practice-based employment and training models. As a part of PHI’s Workforce Innovations Team (WIT), they will specialize in leading engagements related to operationalizing and evaluating meaningful advancement opportunities that expand the direct care career ladder; additionally, they may support programs aimed at strengthening recruitment and retention practices, creating a coaching culture, developing adult-learner centered training, and assessing direct care job quality. Outstanding skills in critical thinking, proactive leadership, written and verbal communication, relationship building, and workforce and organizational development are essential for success in this role. &nbsp;
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Lead the implementation of PHI practice-based job quality interventions, including creating and maintaining work plans and timelines, managing partner relationships, executing project activities, and reporting progress to PHI’s Vice President of Workforce Innovations through verbal and written communication.</li>
<li>Build and manage relationships with numerous strategic workforce partners – including long-term care employers, payors, advocates, and others - to support collaboration and the successful integration of job quality practices.</li>
<li>Provide technical assistance and consulting to project-based partners to support program design, implementation, and evaluation; this will include intensive, hands-on support to project partners to assess and modify organizational practices in support of implementing and maintaining workplace environments conducive to high-quality direct care jobs.</li>
<li>Routinely meet programmatic deadlines and proactively communicate impediments to the Vice President of Workforce Innovations.</li>
<li>Produce high-quality project deliverables in line with PHI and WIT acceptance criteria including PowerPoint slide deck presentations, external and internal reports, project worksheets, assessment tools, workflows, and other items as needed to meet project goals.</li>
<li>Plan, facilitate, and document meetings, informational sessions, webinars and other interactions with external partners; this could include coordinating planning with WIT and other PHI staff members, sending meeting invitations and conferencing information to attendees, creating and disseminating agendas, facilitation, documenting and archiving associated notes, and establishing next steps.</li>
<li>Collaborate with WIT staff to coordinate team roles, optimize efficiency, and meet project goals.</li>
<li>Work with WIT staff to support the development of PHI’s online and in-person workforce training curricula; act as a subject matter expert to inform the creation of contextualized content that reflects the lived experiences of workers within a PHI intervention.</li>

<li>Collaborate with PHI’s Vice President of Research and Evaluation and Vice President of Workforce Innovations to develop and implement evaluation efforts that build the evidence base for sustained investment in direct care job quality interventions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with PHI’s Director of Philanthropy to provide project data and information as needed to support funder reporting and communication efforts.</li>
<li>Serve as a resource to PHI’s Policy Team on workforce and organizational development practices as needed.</li>
<li>Promote PHI’s school of thought and the dissemination of effective practice models through speaking at conferences, contributing to PHI’s blog, and cultivating external relationships to bring in new business. QUALIFICATIONS</li>
<li>Minimum five years’ experience in workforce and organizational development, preferably within the long-term care, aging, and/or disability sectors.</li>
<li>Proven experience successfully designing, leading, and evaluating complex interventions from inception to completion in alignment with organizational strategic impact aims.</li>
<li>Advanced ability to show proactive, independent leadership while maintaining communication and connection to team members.</li>
<li>Experience working within an Agile framework preferred, though not required.</li>
<li>Experience with adult-learner centered curriculum development and facilitation preferred though not required.</li>
<li>Experience with facilitating interactive adult-learner centered training in-person and online preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Experience working effectively with and facilitating collaboration among diverse individuals and groups.</li>
