Managing Director, Global Philanthropists Circle

Opportunity
Reporting to IRAP’s Executive Vice President, External Relationsand Chief of Staff, the Vice President (VP), Development will be anintegral member of the IRAP team, and involved in theorganization’s overall strategic development. They will oversee andmanage the organization’s fundraising strategy, development, andexecution, and will build key infrastructure and contacts tostrengthen and sustain its activities. In partnership with theExecutive Vice President, External Relations and Chief of Staff,the Development team, and other key stakeholders, the VP will be astrategic leader and frontline fundraiser, forging newrelationships to increase IRAP’s visibility, achieve ambitiousimpact, and secure long-term financial resources. They will lead,in partnership, the design and implementation of a comprehensive,clearly-articulated multi-year plan to maintain organizationalhealth in the years to come. The VP will hold a portfolio ofprincipal and major individual and institutional donors, and willbe responsible for personal fundraising performance alongside therest of the development team.&nbsp;
The VP, Development will have primary responsibility forestablishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow a$30M annual budget through the solicitation of grassroots tomajor/principal gifts, special events and virtual opportunities,and corporate and foundation support. They will expand anddiversify IRAP’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with otherteam members to secure funding for new initiatives. Responsibilities

<li>Provide strategic vision and direction to build a first-ratedevelopment program, in partnership with the Executive LeadershipTeam, Development team, and Board of Directors, includingindividual, corporate, and foundation fundraising, and support andensure stellar development operations.</li>
<li>Through a combination of donor, prospect, Board, and staffengagement; intentional pipeline building and authenticstewardship; and creative and innovative fundraising strategies,lead the organization-wide goal of deepening existing andprospective funder relationships, and expanding and diversifyingthe base of supporters and ambassadors.</li>
<li>Maintain a dynamic portfolio of high-net-worth individuals andmajor institutional funders.</li>

<li>Ensure dynamic processes in all phases of prospect management,donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, anddevelopment reporting.</li>

 About Win - Women in Need Win is dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness by providingtransitional and supportive shelters for women-led families. Win’s Income Building Programsupports our clients by facilitating their transition fromunemployment to employment and helping those already employed toimprove their circumstances. Purpose of the Opportunity The Manager of Individual Gifts is responsible for identifying,cultivating, qualifying, and soliciting mid-level ($1,000-$4,999)donors to raise significant revenue for Win. POSITION OVERVIEW
SEO saw rapid and unprecedented expansion during the pandemic,prompting the need to grow and redesign our C-suite. Over the lastthree years, we have welcomed three new Executive Committee membersto oversee critical functions within the organization— SEOProfessional Programs, SEO Scholars Program, and nationaloperations. In the same period, we have also doubled theorganization's workforce and budget, expanded SEO's regionalfootprints in North Carolina and Miami, and opened a second site inOakland, CA, to accommodate our growing Scholars program in SanFrancisco.
The SEO Chief Advancement Officer is responsible for strategicdevelopment planning and activities supporting the NYC SEO Scholarsprogram and SEO general program/operating support, representing 40%of organization's $51M budget with the goal to grow support by 50%over next 3 years. A particular focus will be on nationalfoundations, corporate donors, and major individual donors. The CAOis expected to be a front-line national relationship builder andmajor donor solicitor, managing a portfolio of prospects, andsupervising an approximately nine-member development team.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) William Goodloe,the CAO will be a leader in lifting the current org-widedevelopment efforts to new levels of success by broadening ways toattract and more deeply engage with national foundations,corporations, and individual philanthropists over time – to becomestrategic sources of revenue. The CAO will also work closely withSEO’s professional programs and its Marketing &amp; Communicationsteam to utilize SEO’s legacy of impact closing opportunity gaps toincrease national brand recognition as a whole. RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising:

<li>Drive a strategy to raise roughly an additional $10 - 15m+ inannual revenue for SEO general program support and Scholars programsupport from a variety of philanthropic sources (annual giving,major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, alumni) andspecial events (an annual gala that consistently generates $8m+ inunrestricted funds and several smaller events focused on theScholars program and general SEO support).</li>
<li>Leverage SEO’s existing ecosystem and activate SEO’s untappednetworks within the spaces where the organization currentlyoperates, including private equity and corporate partnerorganizations.</li>

Development Team &nbsp;
The Development Team’s mission is to ensure that NCYL has thefinancial resources needed to pursue its mission and vision, and touphold NCYL’s inclusive, youth-centered, strengths-based, andequity-focused values in all fundraising efforts and activities.NCYL’s Development Team is raising $20M+ annually from foundations,government agencies, corporations, law firms, and individuals. Weinspire NCYL supporters and educate them about NCYL’s values,impact, and work and build community and nurture strongrelationships among NCYL board members, staff, alumni, andsupporters through fundraising efforts. &nbsp;&nbsp;
Position&nbsp;
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to leverage theirfundraising experience and abilities to improve the lives ofchildren, including immigrants, LGBTQIA youth, those in the childwelfare or justice systems, children and their families who areexperiencing homelessness, and much more. This position will reportto the Senior Philanthropy Director.&nbsp;
Essential Functions&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Oversee NCYL’sfundraising efforts, including individual donors, major donors, lawfirm giving and more.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure that individualdonors are inspired by NCYL’s mission and vision and are activelyengaged in funding the advancement of our goals.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Build strongrelationships with donors and major donors and support theExecutive Director, staff, and board in doing the same. Serve asthe primary contact for donors.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>​​​Oversee all aspectsof individual giving, including annual fundraising campaigns,research, identification, cultivation, solicitation, andstewardship of prospective and current donors.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Work with the SeniorDirector of Philanthropy to develop and carry out a comprehensiveand actionable Major Gifts plan.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>​​​Manage a portfolio ofindividual major donors, moving these donors to give increasinglylarger, multi-year gift commitments.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Leverage board membersto engage in fundraising.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<li>Collaborate with theSenior Director of Communications on strategic messaging anddigital fundraising and to raise the organization'sprofile.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Supervise keydevelopment staff.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Develop a deepunderstanding of NCYL’s programmatic work to ensure accuraterepresentation of our work to donors and the public.&nbsp;</li>

Qualifications&nbsp;

<li>​​​Proven track recordof raising large six figure, multi-year commitments from newsources.&nbsp;</li>

<li>​​​3 years’ experiencesupervising development team members.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Experience building amajor donor program.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Strong leadershipexperience with the demonstrated ability to mentor and build theskills of staff.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Computer proficiency andan aptitude for learning new systems and software.&nbsp;</li>

Salary,Benefits, and Location &nbsp;
This is afull-time, exempt position with a competitive salary of $163,379.00annually. A geographic salary differential may be applied if thecandidate resides somewhere other than the Oakland, CA, LosAngeles, CA, New York City, or Washington, DC metro areas. Thismeans that the salary would be reduced if the candidate resides inan area where the cost of labor is less than that of the SanFrancisco Bay Area.&nbsp;
NCYL provides arobust benefits package including health, dental, vision, and lifeinsurances, generous vacation and sick benefits, paid family leave,flexible spending account, employer contribution to a retirementplan, paid sabbatical, and short-term and long-term disabilityinsurance.&nbsp;

NCYL isregistered to do business in the following 13 locations: Arizona,California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts,Michigan, New York, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, DC, andWisconsin. If a candidate is hired but lives in a state where NCYLis not currently registered to do business, their start date mayneed to be delayed until registration can be completed in the newstate. This process may take as much as three months tocomplete.&nbsp;
It is anticipated but not guaranteed that NCYL’s remote workapproach will be in place through 2026. If this policy is revokedprior to 2026, staff will be given at least one year's noticebefore being recalled to a NCYL office.&nbsp; &nbsp;

JOB SUMMARY:&nbsp; The Chief Talent Officer(CTO) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to theorganization’s HR strategies and operations for 600+ Union andManagement staff.
