Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

<li>Ability to perform physical assessment of resident and identifies problems related to physiological, psychological, environmental, and social factors</li>
<li>Responsible for creating and enhancing resident programs and activities using the company’s Wellness Program Model to promote physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual stimulation and engagement of residents as well as interaction between residents and staff</li>
<li>Administer medication per physician orders. Observe for any adverse reaction and notify supervisor and/or physician accordingly</li>
<li>Meet with Resident Care Director on a regular basis to communicate plans, highlights, special challenges, required support, etc.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensure quality and safe delivery of health services to residents</li>
<li>Collect and analyze pertinent health related information</li>
<li>Obtain physician’s order prior to initiating treatments or changes in treatments</li>
<li>Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, charts, reports, etc., and submit these as may be required</li>
<li>Implement plan of care formulated by physician and Resident Care Director</li>
<li>Utilize safe and appropriate techniques/nursing skills in providing resident care</li>
<li>Report pertinent changes in patient’s condition to the Resident Care Director and/or physician</li>
<li>Report changes in patient status to the office such as hospitalization, discharges, and physician appointments</li>
<li>Provide accurate and timely documentation consistent with plan of care</li>
<li>Assess and provides resident and family education and information pertinent to diagnosis of plan of care</li>
<li>Communicate physician’s feedback with patient and/or family</li>
<li>Follow established guidelines concerning the storage of drugs</li>
<li>Be familiar with the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms relative to the administration of medications as used by the community, pharmacists, and physicians</li>
<li>Follow infection control and universal precautions when providing patient care</li>
<li>Communicate directly with other disciplines involved in resident care on a regular basis, including weekends</li>
<li>Participate in team meetings to focus on resident problems</li>
<li>Maintain safe and healthy work environment and use safe work methods and procedures in accordance with company clinical standards</li>
<li>Assist resident in learning appropriate self-care activities</li>
<li>Recognize emergencies and life-threatening situations and initiate appropriate actions as established by the agency</li>
