The Care Giver/Med Tech role includes providing hands on care, physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home like environment.
Responsibilities:
Care Giver:
<ul>
<li>Responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift; knows where their residents are and physically checks on them throughout the shift.</li>
<li>Observes, reports and documents symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary and participation in activities.</li>
<li>Responds to security system and resident call bells promptly.</li>
<li>Notifies supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.</li>
<li>Assists with continence management and disposes of all continence products properly to ensure sanitation of resident suite and community restrooms.</li>
<li>Serves and collects food trays and assists as needed; reports refusal of meals or loss of appetite.</li>

Medication Tech duties:

<li>Reviews service plan to learn pertinent information about residents.</li>

<li>Documents and initials form as medications are given including appropriate documentation for refusal or missed doses.</li>
<li>Maintains confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication.</li>
<li>Reports all resident concerns made while assisting resident with the medication to the Nurse and/or Health Care Coordinator (HCC).</li>
<li>Restocks medication cart after all medication passes.</li>
<li>Assists in checking medication regardless of packaging system.</li>
<li>Counts all narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse each shift.</li>
<li>Maintains and cleans the Medication Room, med charts, treatment carts for neatness cleanliness, availability of medications and expired medications.</li>
<li>Follows re-fill process for medications.</li>
<li>Participates in the development of the Service Plan and monthly updates.</li>
<li>Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration rates.</li>
<li>Reports occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks and hazardous chemicals immediately.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.</li>

Qualifications:

Essential Job Responsibilities

<li>Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment, which includes but not limited to the x-ray machine, medical tools and equipment, respirator fit machines, pulmonary function machines, audiometry machines, audio fit testing machines, functional capacity machines, and breath alcohol machines.</li>
<li>Calibrate all equipment at the beginning of each day in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements. Additional calibrations may be required at other times according to the manufacturer's specifications.</li>
<li>Conduct periodic surveys of equipment and stations so that all safety and hygiene hazards to customers and FCE Technicians are identified and corrected.</li>
<li>Complete all the administrative steps applicable to the equipment so that all required information is verified and properly recorded.</li>
<li>Administer respirator fit tests in full compliance with CFR 1910.134 Respiratory protection Standard.</li>
<li>Maintain and develop customer relationships by responding to questions, concerns, and requests from customers with speed and professionalism.</li>
<li>Thoroughly disinfect and inspect each respirator upon completion of each test.</li>
<li>Ensure all customer data and paperwork is kept confidential at all times.</li>
<li>Facilitate medical patients' vital signs, triage, room placement, etc.</li>
<li>Keep up to date with relevant safety topics, software and lecture, and online training technology</li>
<li>Attend and successfully pass a week-long certifying course in NIOSH and CAOCH</li>
<li>Attend and successfully pass all required drug and alcohol testing courses</li>

What you’ll do on a typical day:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Extrusion Associate 3 (EA3) is a training position through which Associates may advance to the Extrusion Associate 4 (EA4) position.&nbsp; Through this training position, associates will learn to operate extrusion lines and produce vinyl siding products and accessories: ensuring that extruder outputs are consistent with product specifications and that quality assurance standards are maintained by inspecting finished product for consistency.
Associates must be in the EA3 position for a minimum of 6 months and be able to pass proficiency tests to be eligible for promotion to the EA4 position. Associates that are unable to pass the proficiency tests for the EA 4 position within a 12 month period will be demoted back to the position held prior to becoming an EA3.
<ul>
<li>Associate must learn to verify operational status of all equipment on assigned line according to start-up&nbsp;check list</li>
<li>Maintain extruder and all peripheral line equipment settings (embosser, sterlco, dies, MRF, etc.) to produce outputs that are consistent with product specifications</li>
<li>Perform Quality Assurance&nbsp;responsibilities that include conducting a variety of tests on finished product to determine product&nbsp;quality within an established range of performance</li>
<li>Notify Supervisory personnel of deviations for prompt and accurate correction(s)</li>
<li>Communicate with Maintenance Department and Manufacturing Shift Supervisor about machine malfunctions</li>

<li>Perform housekeeping duties as needed such as clean up of water spills, knock-out build up in MRF cutter, and knock-out bins; maintain cleanliness of extrusion line and surrounding work area</li>
<li>Monitor Extrusion Associate 1s and 2s (Inspector/Packer) to ensure consistency and quality of product packed and application of proper packing techniques</li>
<li>Relieve line EA1s and EA2s for breaks</li>
<li>Develop communication skills so knowledge can be shared with previous and following shifts’ Extrusion Associates about product quality, problems, and status of work in progress</li>
<li>Complete accurately and legibly all extrusion and quality assurance related paperwork (e.g. operational reports)</li>
<li>Refer to Production Schedule for color of product, product number and quantity to be produced</li>
<li>Locate Quality Assurance Specification from Lab to adhere to specifications for appropriate product</li>
<li>Perform all quality assurance checks according to schedule on Operational Report</li>
