Experience and Desirable Traits: -Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program. -One year of nursing experience; three years preferred. Community health/hospice or medical/surgical experience is preferred. -Sensitivity to patient needs with the ability to express patience and compassion in dealing with them. -Currently licensed as an LPN//LVN in California -Complies with accepted professional standards and practice. -Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills. -Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order. -Strong commitment to providing the highest quality care. - Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. -Understand the philosophy of the hospice concept. Also understands the needs of the terminally ill. -Excellent communication and listening skills. -Positive, can-do attitude. -Confidence and creative problem-solving skills. -Flexibility and availability for schedules to include hours outside of standard work week, possible weekend hours.
