Seeking a full time Registered Dietitian to join the staff in a multidisciplinary behavioral health clinic located in Urbana, Illinois and specializing in outpatient care and “Intensive Outpatient Programming” for eating and weight related disorders and nutrition support for athletes and performance artists.
Position Summary: The Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional assessment, education, and meal planning for clients to support overall well-being by addressing nutritional needs. This role is part of the staff in a multidisciplinary behavioral health clinic specializing in outpatient care and intensive outpatient programming for eating and weight related disorders and nutrition support for athletes and performance artists. The Dietitian collaborates with staff to integrate nutrition into treatment plans,
promote healthy lifestyle choices, and support long-term recovery outcomes.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or other related field or equivalent training, education, and experience
• Possess a RD/RDN credential and licensure in Illinois
• Strong knowledge in clinical nutrition, behavioral health, eating disorders, or substance use treatment preferred
• Ability to work with various populations including adults and adolescents
• Experience or interest in working with athletes and other performers
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic health record (HER) systems
• Ability to accurately complete required documentation within prescribed time frames
• Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Work hours prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
2. Conduct comprehensive, individual nutrition assessments and evaluate clients’ dietary habits, medical history, mental health needs, and nutritional status.
3. Provide ongoing follow-up evaluations to monitor progress, support behavior change, and adjust nutritional plans as needed.
4. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure an integrated treatment plan.
5. Facilitate nutrition education groups and supported meals to promote nutritional awareness and healthy eating habits.
6. Monitor client outcomes and document all assessments, interventions, and progress notes accurately and timely within the EHR.
7. Stay current on evidence-based practices, emerging research and specialized approaches related to behavioral health nutrition, eating disorder treatment, and co-occurring conditions.
8. Support clients in developing a healthy relationship with food, incorporating motivational interviewing and other therapeutic techniques where necessary.
9. Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities, contributing nutritional oversight.
10. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law.
11. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
12. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance
13. Assume other related responsibilities as delegated and assigned by leadership.
Schedule
- Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Some Evenings. (40 hours per week)
Work Location: 700 S Gregory St Ste A, Urbana, IL 61801
- Work Mode: Onsite
Compensation
- Starting Pay (based on education, experience, and credentials)
- Master’s - $62,009.00 salary
