What would you do?
Auditors perform audit procedures, prepare audit documentation, reach conclusions based on audit evidence, and make recommendations to improve government operations. The results of our audit work helps improve agency operations and provide valuable information to State leaders on areas such as public education, public safety, healthcare, and foster care.
On a financial audit you might: review fiscal and accounting functions and systems including pension and investment funds, review and test accounting records, develop estimates and expectations of financial statement accounts, review financial trends and analyze variances, and analyze financial statement account balances and draw conclusions.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

This class is distinguished from Supervising Accountant II by the latter's primary responsibility to supervise a large fiscal section. The Director of External Reporting, Accounting, under the supervision of the Vice President, manage and complete the external reporting functions of the consolidated entity as well as standalone reports of all the existing and future new companies it creates (collectively referred to as Innventure or organization). For select key functions and tasks, this role will initially be as an individual contributor but is expected to grow in scope and responsibilities.
This role requires the full scope of accounting acumen in order to properly identify all related and required disclosures. The right candidate will be one of the primary liaisons for external auditors and Senior Management. The individual in this role is expected to work closely with the Vice President, Finance to monitor and implement new accounting standards and disclosures as well as new controls, policies, and procedures to ensure that the organization is GAAP and SOX compliant and operating under an effective control environment.
