Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000 + Benefits

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, and collaborative Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 3 years of experience to join our local team. This is a collaboration with out team and local clients. Deep hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks is desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review complex federal and Michigan state /local tax returns for individuals, business entities, estates/trust, and non-profits. UltraTax Software preferred but we will train. (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041, and 990)
- Financial Oversight & Bookkeeping: Review and clean up client books ensuring accurate general ledger account reconciliations.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted primary point of contact for our clients, providing face-to-face and digital guidance on technical accounting and tax planning.
- Audit & Notice Resolution: Research complex tax laws and respond to federal, state, and local city tax notices on behalf of clients.
- Team & Workflow Collaboration: Work closely with the local in-office team to streamline internal accounting processes, leveraging the integration between QuickBooks and Ultratax.
Required Qualifications:
- Work Location: Ability to work full-time, in-personal at our Flint Township, Mi office
- Certification: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required (State of Michigan preferred.)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience.
- Software Mastery: Advanced, day-to-day operational experience using QuickBooks (online / desktop)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor designation.
- Familiarity with Michigan local city tax filings (Flint ,etc.)
