Job Summary: As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Tru Living Recovery, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to provide outpatient care for adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This is a contract (1099) role within a collaborative, team-based treatment environment. The PMHNP will perform psychiatric evaluations, prescribe and manage medications—including medication-assisted treatment (MAT)—and support patients throughout their recovery. The ideal candidate is an experienced nurse practitioner who values evidence-based practice, teamwork, and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

<li>Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.</li>
<li>Prescribe and manage psychotropic and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) medications, including buprenorphine and naltrexone, as needed.</li>
<li>Monitor patient progress, response to treatment, and recovery outcomes.</li>
<li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive, integrated care.</li>
<li>Provide patient education on mental health, substance use, and relapse prevention.</li>
<li>Assess and manage psychiatric crises while ensuring trauma-informed, culturally competent care.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR and participate in weekly team meetings.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.</li>
<li>Current / Active licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) and prescriptive authority in Idaho.</li>
<li>DEA registration.</li>
<li>Experience treating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to individual care.</li>
