General Summary:&nbsp;&nbsp;Under the direction of the University President, the Vice President for Administration &amp; Finance serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF administers the University budget as well as supervises the Business Office, Human Resources, Office of Financial Aid, Facilities, Security and Safety, and the Office of Information Technology. The VPAF is also responsible for the outsourced Bookstore, general contract administration, regulation administration, The University’s annual budget, fiscal policies, and other services as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF works closely with various State of North Dakota governing and regulating agencies.
Primary Responsibilities:&nbsp;
Business Office&nbsp;- Responsible for the accurate accounting and budgeting of appropriated and non-appropriated funds to include payroll and student accounts. Human Resources&nbsp;- Responsible for talent acquisition, salary administration, employee training, and appropriate application of&nbsp;&nbsp;HR policies, procedures, and practices. May coordinate on the process of position creation and management. Student Financial Aid&nbsp;- Responsible for accurate accounting and disbursement of student financial aid; federal funds, scholarships, grants, waivers, and awards used by students for tuition, books, and fees. Facilities Management&nbsp;- Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of all buildings and grounds of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;Provides oversight for new construction and renovation of buildings. Campus Safety and Security&nbsp;- Provides security services 24/7, Clery Act reporting, and safety measures. &nbsp;Information Technology Center&nbsp;- Provides for the physical infrastructure, security and support of all campus network and communication lines, computers and related I.T. equipment on campus. Vice President of Administration and Finance

The Arnold School of Public Health (ASPH) and the College of Nursing (CON) at the University of South Carolina (USC) invite applications for six tenure-track faculty positions as part of the inaugural NIH-funded USC FIRST FIIRRE program. The multi-year NIH FIRST (Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation) initiative intends to enhance inclusive excellence at competitively determined institutions across the United States. Purpose: The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Santa Clara University is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor beginning fall 2024. Responsibilities Tenure track faculty at SCU are teaching scholars who are expected to balance teaching, research and service. This is an in-person position. More specifically, duties include but are not limited to:
TEACHING 1. Teach lower- and upper-division courses in the major and university core curriculum, as assigned by the chair and subdisciplinary expertise. &nbsp;SCU is on the quarter system and a typical load is two courses per quarter. Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: a. Conducting and appearing at all assigned class meetings in a timely and prepared manner that demonstrates a command of the discipline and skill in presenting it effectively. b. Assigning and evaluating written work, projects, and exams that align with course or core learning objectives and providing timely feedback to students. c. Holding weekly office hours at times reasonably convenient to students. d. Assigning and submitting student grades that are appropriate, accurate, and fair measures of student performance to the Office of the Registrar by the designated deadline. e. Administering numerical and narrative evaluations in each section for all courses.
 2. Develop and teach courses that contribute to curriculum development in the relevant degree program and/or the university core. &nbsp;Faculty teaching university core courses should follow an approved syllabus or work with the chair to design an appropriate syllabus for submission for approval from the relevant Faculty Core Curriculum Committee.
 3. Participate in assessment of student learning for courses in the department.
 4. Provide informed advice and mentoring to undergraduate students.
 5. Fulfill other instructional or academic duties as may be assigned by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences or by the Chair of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department.
 RESEARCH 1. Setting up a laboratory to perform computational research that will engage undergraduates and lead to sustained publication of results in reputable, peer-reviewed journals. 2. Pursuing external funding for individual and departmental research and teaching objectives.

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance at Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has oversight of the financial, risk management and information technology operations of the organization. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is delegated a high degree of responsibility to recommend and implement fiscal policies and procedures in partnership with university colleagues to ensure that ASI operates appropriately within the financial policies of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees and the University, while sustaining sound business practices, and strengthening the financial health of ASI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Accounting 
<ul>
<li>Oversees the supervision and management of all aspects of the functional areas of the Accounting Services department, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashiering, fixed asset management, internal controls, policy development and implementation, legal, and audit compliance as well as maintenance of the general ledger.</li>
<li>Provides insight and education regarding ASI and CSU Sacramento budget and financial operations to the ASI Student Board of Directors, full-time staff, student-staff, campus partners and the student community at a level of their understanding.</li>
<li>Oversees the preparation of the annual financial statements and 990 for ASI and the Union WELL.</li>
<li>Facilitates implementation of quality standards and priority criteria for service processes.</li>
<li>Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through assessment, staff training, and resource development. Ensures compliance with state and federal tax laws and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Ensures compliance with all internal controls and identifies potential improvements to increase efficiency of operations and security of company assets.</li>
<li>Evaluates changes in policies, laws, and available resources for impacts and adjustments to related policies, procedures, and staff responsibilities.</li>
<li>Coordinates plans for testing, training, and implementing new and upgraded financial systems.</li>
<li>Manages corporate response to auditors during the annual external audit, CSU audits, and other agency audits.</li>

Long Term Financial Planning, and Forecasting

<li>Develops long-term capital funding plans and budgets including maintaining appropriate reserve increases.</li>

Fiscal Services

<li>Serves as an advisor to the ASI Student Board of Directors. Provides guidance and support to all elected ASI student officers, especially the ASI Student Vice President of Finance, in the fulfillment of their responsibilities, and to student club and organization officers on the use of ASI funds.</li>
<li>Organizes, directs and supervises the preparation of ASl's annual budget in accordance with the guidelines provided by the ASI Finance and Budget Committee.</li>

The Department of History at Santa Clara University,a Jesuit, Catholic university,&nbsp;seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship (full-time) in the history of the American West with research and teaching interests in the history of technology in the 20th and 21st centuries, the history of California, and/or the history of Silicon Valley, to begin fall 2024. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss how their research and teaching intersect with and leverage our location in Santa Clara Valley on the site of the historic Spanish mission Santa Clara, built on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone and the Muwekma Ohlone peoples. We seek a historian who can engage with the broader social, demographic, and environmental forces that transformed the “Valley of Heart’s Delight” into “Silicon Valley.” We are particularly interested in a scholar with expertise in digital humanities and public history. Historians who are able to take a long view of the development of northern California from its earliest and persistent Indigenous inhabitants to the technological transformation of the 20th and 21st centuries are especially welcome. We are also looking for historians who can connect the history of technology and the computer industry to various dynamics of the 20th and 21st centuries that it has affected. Such intersections could include the environmental and social impacts of technological development and modern capitalism; . data justice, surveillance, and control; labor and migration shifts, particularly immigration from Asia; and problems of race and gender equity in technology fields. The successful candidate will be able to help our students critically assess popular narratives about the technology industry and its role in our society and develop a complex understanding of its impact on the social and historical dynamics of the modern world.&nbsp;

The College of Arts &amp; Sciences is currently conducting its third cluster hire in the area of Inequality &amp; Social Justice. It is possible that the person hired for this position will be included in the Fall 2024 cohort if their research/teaching is a strong fit. Cluster hire participants will receive mentorship and regular group meetings providing peer support and an interdisciplinary intellectual community to support their scholarly and creative work.

The Role:
The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. The Associate Dean also serves on a variety of college and university committees and acts in the Dean's absence.&nbsp;
Job Duties Support for the Dean: -&nbsp;Collaborate with the Dean on planning college strategic initiatives, participate in college fundraising, and coordinate implementation of CEPS strategic priorities. -&nbsp;Provide CEPS administrative leaders support in areas of culturally responsive curriculum development, equity-focused institutional assessment and improvement, human resource management, faculty/staff development and performance evaluations, and budget and finance. -&nbsp;Support the Dean in decision-making, information gathering, report draft preparation, meeting attendance, and follow-through on matters assigned to the chairs and interdisciplinary program directors. -&nbsp;Collaborate with the other Associate Deans. -&nbsp;Collaborate to ensure program quality and effectiveness and to promote student learning, student satisfaction, and student retention in all student populations. -&nbsp;Attend Associate Deans and Academic Affairs meetings. -&nbsp;Act in the Dean’s absence.
Academic Programs and Curricular Management: -&nbsp;Provide strategic management of general education, graduate education, and major program and course offerings, as well as new program development. -&nbsp;Assist with CurricuLog approval changes. -&nbsp;Review and approve course schedules. -&nbsp;Attend Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee meetings. -&nbsp;Support collaboration across units with graduate education and research, including grant proposals. -&nbsp;Provide consultations and advocacy for student concerns.
Communications/Community/College: -&nbsp;Work closely with the Dean, the Director of Development, and the Alumni Relations Coordinator to assist in program development activities and newsletter articles. - Encourage and support business, industry, and community partnerships. -&nbsp;Assist with media relations pertaining to CEPS programs. -&nbsp;Interact with faculty, administrators, staff, students, alumni, other University constituencies, and outside agencies.
Policy Coordination and Committee Membership: -&nbsp;Represent the college on committees as assigned. -&nbsp;Work with the Dean to maintain policies and procedures related to the college and the university. -&nbsp;Approve grade changes, incompletes, independent studies, and internships consistent with university and program policies.

Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a discipline associated with programs represented in the College of Education and Professional Studies. A record of teaching effectiveness, professional leadership, and scholarship sufficient to support tenure in one of the CEPS’s academic departments. The Assistant Vice President for Human Resources will serve in a strategic leadership role in Human Resources. Reporting to the Vice President for Finance, Human Resources &amp; Business Development, the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for leading the Office of Human Resources in planning and achieving HR goals and objectives as it relates to the Colleges strategic plan and mission. Areas of responsibility include recruitment, benefits management, training and professional development, employee relations, time and leave administration, performance management, employee recognition programs, compensation and payroll processes, and policy and program compliance.
The Assistant Vice President is directly responsible for the following:
Develop and lead the Office of Human Resources in a manner that serves as a model for professional competency teamwork, and innovation. Provides consultation to management on strategic staffing plans.
Oversee the operations and administration of all human resources services functions which includes appointments,on-boarding, orientation, benefits and time and leave administration,compensation, payroll processes, salary changes, promotions, reclassifications training and staff development, budget, and labor relations.
The AVP is responsible for the State Tax Levy and Non-Tax Levy Payroll department and oversees all aspects of the payroll process for both City and State payrolls of which Hunter is the only CUNY School with two payroll systems . Works with the Academic areas at Hunter to provide updated and timely information related to adjunct data. This data sharing facilitates a collaborative effort to ensure that adjuncts are paid on schedule.
Direct the preparation of and represent the College in Civil Service staff disciplinary actions and grievances and enforce policies, rules and regulations, and contractual agreements related to classified staff
Partner with the CUNY Institute for State and Local Governance (ISLG) to examine and implement administrative process improvements in the School of Arts and Sciences. This strategic collaboration facilitated a new set of best practices, which will continue to be rolled out in the future.
Represent the College in matters pertaining to Human Resources on the University level and above and collaborate effectively with other CUNY-wide Human Resources officials and Confers with College and University Stakeholders to create workforce management plans addressing issues such as succession, recruitment sources, and employee career development.
Serves as a valuable resource at the Central Office, as well as on campus. Participate in small focus groups and works closely with the OHRM team tasked with changing the culture at CUNY. Leveraged her experience and expertise to review and revise existing policies and procedures so that they add value to the workflow. Continue to nurture the relationship with the Central Office. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$190,000 - $210,000, Salary commensurate with education and experience.
