This position is responsible for part-time broadcast operation duties, including the recording and ingesting of all on-air program and promotional content for four on-air program streams and three cable channels originating from the KSPS Operation Center. Positions in this class operate and monitor television master control–related equipment, including computer automation, asset management and traffic systems, television broadcast transmitters, video/audio switchers, videotape machines, EAS equipment, and satellite receive equipment. The part-time MCO/Traffic Specialist position is considered a fill-in position; therefore, individuals in this class are expected to work fill-in shifts as required. Work must conform to Federal Communications Commission rules and regulations. This is an in-office position.
Requirements
Job Duties/Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Operate Master Control equipment, including BroadStream Oasys Automation and Playout Server, MassTech Asset Management, Apantac Monitor Wall systems, Burke Transmitter Remote Control, XDCAM, DVCPRO ¼” and Beta ½” VTRs, Kumulate Tape Archive, and Premiere Pro Mac Editor.</li>
<li>Review, monitor, and adjust on-air play and record lists associated with the station’s BroadStream Automation System as needed.</li>
<li>Monitor network (sIX) file downloads and satellite program feeds, and prepare all network programming for on-air use using BroadStream Automation.</li>
<li>Perform program FTP file transfers as requested by Traffic or Programming.</li>
<li>Operate the BroadStream Maker Server to record required on-air programming into the station’s BroadStream playout servers for multiple services, including KSPS 7.1, KSPS World, KSPS Create, KSPS Kids, and Ch-17 (District 81).</li>
<li>Operate and monitor the station’s Satellite Downlink System, including fixed and steerable satellite dishes, and monitor Classic Arts and DirecTV feeds.</li>
<li>Maintain program and transmitter logs, operate and monitor SAGE Emergency Alert System equipment, and perform EAS tests or announcements in accordance with station policy and FCC rules.</li>
<li>Monitor all program streams during station breaks and document on program logs that scheduled content is airing correctly, audio and video levels are within standards, and Closed Captions and DVI Audio are present as required.</li>
<li>Use the Myers/ProTrack Traffic system to verify recording metadata and schedule (sIX) file downloads when necessary.</li>
<li>Monitor MyPBS Advisories and Refeeds for notifications of impaired or re-fed network programming.</li>
<li>Use Myers/ProTrack Traffic Software and BroadStream Oasys Automation to build and generate program logs and automation playlists for up to five channels. This includes scheduling interstitial content such as promos, station events, and station IDs, as well as managing station bugs, pledge graphics, and other automated system commands.</li>
<li>Export program logs to the BroadStream Automation System to create automated playlists for KSPS-TV broadcast streams, and use Oasys Designer to verify and update program data and content durations across multiple sources.</li>
<li>When required, write concise Discrepancy, Equipment Malfunction, FCC Closed Caption Compliance, and EAS Evaluation Reports documenting on-air events for FCC compliance and troubleshooting.</li>

Job Qualifications
Education/Experience: 
<ul>
<li>Advanced studies in Broadcast Communications preferred, but not required</li>
<li>Prior experience in a television operating environment involving daily operations, scheduling, and logging is preferred.</li>

Spokane Produce, Inc. is seeking a Assistant Fleet Manager. The Assistant Fleet Manager will work closely with the company drivers and other department management to deliver the highest possible level of service to our internal and external customers. The successful candidate will be adept at routing and scheduling with an emphasis on streamlining service. This position will also be responsible for meeting regularly with drivers, dispatchers, maintenance, sales and owner to discuss ways to meet or exceed revenue goals. Duties include but are not limited to: responsible for the administration and management of all transactions associated with drivers in a multi-state trucking fleet and distribution operation: develop and maintain fleet schedules, manage daily routing and route development, administer safety and job-related training for Fleet Management, manage talent acquisition, performance management and retention for the department. May be required to assume the duties of a Route Delivery Driver, if needed. This position needs to be available to cover call offs and vacations. This position is frequently on-call
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Yes
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Help develop and implement safety policies and procedures as well as help manage the Safety program for the transportation department • Help develop and implement formalized training programs and assist in conducting new hire and compliance training • Serve as a back-up ROUTE DELIVERY DRIVER for Fleet Management as needed • Help ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations • Assist with maintaining manual and electronic documents, manage drug screening program for DOT, oversee licensing for drivers and equipment • Monitor and maintain quality service for customer, retail and food service accounts • Enforce safety practices and procedures to ensure employees receive appropriate safety training • Conduct driver ride-along for training and evaluation purposes • Assist with dispatch, routing and truck scheduling: schedule drivers, arrange routes in collaboration with the Sales Department; allocate vehicles and backhauls as needed • Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance information for all laws, regulations and taxes associated with multi-state trucking operation • Assist with drivers licensing compliance • Assist with reviewing route reports daily and making needed adjustments to streamline operations • Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations • Assist with route development and support sales staff for new routes or review potential of combining routes • Assist with and conduct bi-annual Driver meetings • Responsible for assisting with equipment management • Provide driver training and participate in driver performance management • Help manage DOD contracts including but not limited to: routing, securing passes and completing reviews of driver backgrounds • Assist with talent acquisition of drivers including testing • Cross train as needed • Work with sales, buyers, and dispatch to facilitate the flow of information in a timely manner to facilitate all needed job functions • Assist as needed to ensure all base routes are covered and needs are met on a daily basis • Maintain and improve driver files • Assist with driver safety program and manual (safety procedures, backing, unloading, distractions, winter driving, lane changes, proper spacing, parking, etc.) • Assist with mechanical problems and develop procedures for handling these calls • Must be able to assume the truck delivery driver responsibilities for an open route, if necessary • Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Trucking experience required • Working knowledge of current DOT and FMCSA regulations • High school diploma or GED • 3+ years of experience in trucking administration preferred • Class A CDL license and clean driving record • Current medical card • Knowledge of ELD software programs preferred • Knowledge of Samsara a plus • Must be able to work independently or as a team when required, and provide strong problem-solving abilities • Good communication skills and ability to multi-task • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching. Generally the job requires an equal combination of sitting, standing, and walking during the day. The job is performed in the office, warehouse and shop.
