Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience to join our team in a dynamic clinical setting. The RRT will work the night shift with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts (19:00 to 07:00). This position may involve floating between various units.

<li>Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required</li>

<li>Washington state license required</li>
\n
<li>Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required; PALS certification is preferred</li>
\n
<li>Teaching hospital experience preferred</li>
\n
<li>Experience in Level I Trauma facilities preferred</li>

\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
<ul>\n
<li>Provide advanced respiratory care in the Emergency Department and General Pediatrics</li>
\n
<li>Administer medications and respiratory therapies, including bicarbonate, inhaled Flolan, ketamine, and nitric oxide</li>
\n
<li>Utilize various equipment to deliver oxygen and perform aerosol therapy</li>
\n
<li>Effectively manage ventilators and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms</li>
\n
<li>Perform airway management and suctioning while ensuring patient comfort and safety</li>
\n
<li>Interpret arterial blood gas results accurately</li>
\n</ul>
\n\nWork Environment\n
This position will involve working within a facility that has a total of 629 staffed beds, including a Level IV NICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac ICU, and PICU. The facility is recognized as a teaching hospital and provides services across multiple specialties.
\n\nPatient Population\n
The therapist will work with a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Preferred experience in pediatrics and adolescents is highly valued.

<li>Weekends: Required every other weekend</li>

The ideal candidate will have experience with preferred equipment including Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Trilogy, and LTV1250 ventilators.
