Maintenance Mechanic - Warehouse Maintenance

We are seeking Maintenance Mechanics to support a food manufacturing warehouse operation in Cambria, WI. This role is focused on keeping warehouse, storage, labeling, and material-handling equipment running through hands-on mechanical repair, troubleshooting, fabrication, welding, and preventive maintenance.

The best fit is a reliable industrial maintenance mechanic who is comfortable working around older, semi-automated equipment and can support warehouse and labeling operations in a team-focused plant environment.

Location: Cambria, WI

Work Setting: Onsite

Role Type: Direct hire

Openings: 2

Shift:

  • Warehouse would be 1st shift (4:30 am to 2:00 pm, must be flexible with schedule)

  • Plant will be on 2nd shift (6pm to 6am) until pack is done, once pack is done it will be 1st shift


Pay Rate: $27-$33/hr, based on experience and client approval

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain warehouse, labeling, storage, and food-processing equipment.
  • Support equipment uptime by completing mechanical repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and document completed work.
  • Repair, overhaul, install, and adjust plant and warehouse equipment.
  • Troubleshoot conveyors, mechanical drives, pumps, bearings, motors, gearboxes, material-handling equipment, and related systems.
  • Fabricate, weld, modify, and install equipment as needed.
  • Read sketches, layouts, and basic blueprints to complete assigned maintenance work.
  • Monitor equipment operation and make adjustments to keep warehouse and labeling flow moving.
  • Follow GMP, food safety, housekeeping, and plant safety requirements.
  • Work with maintenance, warehouse, labeling, production, and plant leadership to solve equipment issues.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, agricultural, food-processing, machine shop, military, automotive, or construction maintenance experience.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic general maintenance knowledge.
  • Welding and fabrication ability.
  • Ability to work safely around production and warehouse equipment.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work in a team-focused plant environment.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food manufacturing, canning, freezing, packaging, labeling, or storage facility experience.
  • Warehouse maintenance experience, including conveyors, material-handling equipment, labeling equipment, doors, docks, and related systems.
  • Stainless steel welding experience.
  • Mill, lathe, machining, or metalworking experience.
  • Plumbing experience.
  • PLC exposure or basic controls familiarity.
  • Experience maintaining older industrial equipment.
  • 480V electrical awareness is a plus, though this is primarily a mechanical maintenance role.
