Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a tax manager or equivalent supervisory capacity within a regional or national public accounting environment. PURPOSE:

Supported Living employee is the key figure in providing ongoing needed and wanted support to the people utilizing Medicaid Waiver Services. Facilitate the person served in reaching his or her maximum potential. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li> Provide support to a designated person.</li>
<li> Document the major activities of the person served in daily notes. Maintain accurate records of support provided to the person served.</li>
<li> Must be able and willing to use personal cell phone as needed, or company device as available for time entry. </li>
<li> Planning and assistance in scheduling clients’ medical appointments, transporting clients to scheduled appointments, and providing care to clients as needed. </li>
<li> Responsibly pass or monitor medication administration based on needs of persons served.</li>
<li> Provide services in compliance with all funding sources and governing bodies (CARF, BQIS, State and Federal Law)</li>
<li> Follow policies/procedures set forth by the Supported Living Division and the agency.</li>
<li> Complete daily, weekly, or monthly tasks including but not limited to, purchasing groceries for persons served, transporting persons served to medical appointments and/or procedures, and providing shift coverage. </li>
<li> Display patience in all situations involving persons served. Speak in an even, positive and personal tone of voice when conversing with persons served.</li>
<li> Appropriately respond to persons served behavior via verbal and/or physical intervention based on the needs of the persons served.</li>

Must be capable of assisting in physically transferring/moving persons served when needed. Provide first aid and physical assistance to the individual as needed.</li>
<li> Accept supervision by cooperating with supervisor’s directives and accepting constructive feedback from supervisor in an effort to improve job performance. Communicate concerns to appropriate supervisory staff. </li>
<li> Work scheduled hours as coordinated with Staff Scheduler. This includes the ability to work irregular shifts outside the standard agency operating hours including weekends and holidays as necessary.</li>

Position: Lab Assistant
Department: Laboratory
Reports To: Director - Lab
Direct Reports: None
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Summary
The Lab Assistant is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, performs other clinical duties in the department and medical office as assigned. Keeps complete and accurate records. Acts as a positive contact point for patients and visitors. Keeps appropriate inventory of purchased supplies under direction of the department leader.

General Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Accurately inputs all registration information into EMR.</li>
<li>Processes specimens and transports those specimens to designated areas following standard operating procedures.</li>
<li>Accurately orders tests from outpatient orders; faxes reports (EMR and manual), and scans orders and reports; accurately enters diagnosis codes into EMR and obtains signed ABNs when necessary.</li>
<li>Safely draws blood on all patient types and ages.</li>
<li>Assesses work needs and completes tasks in order of priority in the assigned work area.</li>
<li>Ensures correct patient identity using two patient identifiers; collects and labels specimens.</li>
<li>Performs EKGs accurately using correct Medical Record numbers and names, and ensures results are transmitted to the EMR system.</li>
<li>Reviews department inventory levels and maintains appropriate level of supplies.</li>
<li>Follows standard precautions and uses equipment safely and appropriately.</li>
<li>Performs all aspects of the position in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors; utilizes established hand-off communication protocols.</li>
<li>Maintains confidentiality of all department data and activities.</li>
<li>Demonstrates flexibility in work schedules.</li>
<li>Complies with all established safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.</li>
<li>Participates in performance improvement activities.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>

Education Requirements
<ul>
<li>High School diploma / Equivalent combination of education and experience Required</li>
</ul>

Certification/Licensure Requirements
<ul>
<li>Phlebotomy Certification Preferred</li>
</ul>

Experience Requirements
<ul>
<li>Phlebotomy minimum 2 years Preferred</li>
</ul>

Computer Skills
<ul>
<li>Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate EMR programs</li>
</ul>

Additional Skills
<ul>
<li>Ability to work independently, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner</li>
<li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li>
</ul>
