·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain open, ongoing communication with youth, families, volunteers, the Pastor, and the congregation.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Stay informed about youth ministry best practices and maintain certification in Safe Gatherings.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Model a faithful Christian life and demonstrate a strong, flexible, and compassionate leadership style.
Qualifications:
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A personal commitment to Christian faith and a willingness to embrace and respect diverse expressions of belief, and a passion for teaching about grace and service.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience working with children and youth in an educational, ministry, or mentorship role.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Willingness to work flexible hours
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Team player with a collaborative spirit.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Must complete Safe Gatherings training and comply with all child protection policies, including passing a background check and being fingerprinted.
Schedule Expectations:&nbsp;
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The work will primarily be focused on Sunday morning and Sunday evening and will include preparation for meetings and follow-up with youth throughout the week. For details, see the sample weekly schedule.
Sample Weekly Schedule:&nbsp;
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 9:00 AM:&nbsp;Arrive at church, prepare the youth classroom and review the Sunday School lesson.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Greet families and youth as they arrive.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Participate in the beginning portion of the worship service.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lead the Youth Sunday School class.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; After class, clean up the classroom space.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Check in briefly with the Pastor and CFYM Director.
Sunday Evening:
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5:45 PM:&nbsp;Return to church to prepare for Youth Group (set up activities, review the lesson).
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 6:00–8:00 PM:&nbsp;Lead Youth Group session (lesson, activities, fellowship time).
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 8:00–8:15 PM:&nbsp;Clean up Youth Group space before departure.
Monday–Saturday:&nbsp;(Flexible, work-from-home hours)
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Plan the next Sunday School lesson and Sunday evening Youth Group session.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Create and organize activities for Youth Group nights.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Coordinate and communicate with volunteers as needed (e.g., dinners, event help).
