What Does An Ideal Candidate Look Like?

<li>Qualified &amp; Ready to Care: Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an active California license (or ability to obtain one).</li>
<li>Prepared for the Unexpected: CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).</li>
<li>Experienced in Geriatric Care: At least 2 years of PTA experience, preferably with older adults or medically complex participants.</li>

<li>Strong Communicator: Ability to engage participants, caregivers, and teammates with empathy, clarity, and positivity.</li>

<li>Sharp Senses: Visual and hearing ability to monitor participant responses, observe safety cues, and respond quickly when something doesn’t feel right.</li>
<li>Hands-On Tools: Comfortable using therapy equipment, assistive devices, and documenting care using electronic systems.</li>

The Work Environment

<li>Clinic &amp; Day Center: Most of your time will be spent in our on-site therapy gym, treatment rooms, and participant activity areas. These spaces are thoughtfully designed to be safe, accessible, and uplifting for older adults with a range of physical and cognitive needs.</li>
<li>Office-Based Work: When not delivering hands-on care, you'll document therapy sessions, collaborate with team members, and participate in care planning in an office setting equipped with EMR systems and communication tools.</li>
<li>Home &amp; Community Visits: Occasionally, you’ll support therapy or mobility assessments in participants’ homes or other care settings (such as skilled nursing facilities or hospitals), helping ensure smooth transitions and consistent care.</li>
<li>Travel Between Locations: Some travel between program sites or participant homes may be required. Flexibility and reliable transportation are important to support care continuity across settings.</li>
