GENERAL DESCRIPTION: 
The purpose of this position is to receive incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, to dispatch calls for law enforcement, fire, EMS and other personnel and services in an accurate, timely and professional manner, to maintain accurate and complete dispatch records, and to perform related work as required. The position works according to set procedures under occasional supervision.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

<li>Monitor and respond to radio communications.</li>
<li>Track location of field units, provide info and directions.</li>
<li>Dispatch back up assistance as needed.</li>
<li>Provide support for field officers including requested judicial, FBI and local criminal histories, sex offender registries and other felon or criminal records.</li>
<li>Initiate calls to persons at the request of officers; wreckers etc.</li>
<li>Transmit and receive information regarding criminal activity on NCIC computer.</li>
<li>Provide routine assistance and information to caller such as providing directions.</li>
<li>Maintain related records, forms, logs, etc.</li>
<li>Monitor weather radio and alerts appropriate personnel of inclement conditions.</li>
<li>Receives and responds to public inquires, requests.</li>
<li>Prepares and submits various reports as required.</li>

Qualifications

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, and dispatch law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other personnel and services accurately and promptly. This position serves as the first point of contact for incidents, gathering and relaying critical information to responders. The role involves multitasking, ensuring unit safety, and providing resources and information for non-emergency calls.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
