ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 
We are recruiting for a Principal Software Engineer - Development of Production Test Systems. In this role, you will provide end to end development of manufacturing test system software solutions for custom functional test systems including, test system architecture development and integration; acceptance testing and technical support. You will perform and provide the leadership for code development/architecture/design of the software used for Inspire production equipment 

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE 
<ul>
<li>Provide technical leadership on projects involving multiple engineers, including leading the overall SW design approach partitioning work among the team, and directing detailed software design activities to support the overall project schedule</li>
<li>Develop next-generation software test system requirements through collaboration with key stakeholders, product benchmarking, and input from industry standards.</li>
<li>Decompose device-level requirements and use-cases into test system software requirements.</li>
<li>Ensure allocation of software functions across software modules enables optimal control system performance and meets software architecture design needs</li>
<li>Lead physical and virtual design reviews to confirm confidence in designs prior to program milestones.</li>
<li>Resolve technical issues by applying problem-solving techniques and facilitating cross-functional support from the Engineering, Manufacturing and Test Organizations.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with product team members to develop test equipment and methods to expedite the delivery of new products</li>
<li>Specify, design, implement, verify, validate, debug and support test system software, hardware, tools, and utilities</li>
<li>Work with vendors developing tests and test equipment</li>
<li>Design, build, and manage cloud-based production test control systems</li>
<li>Generate documentation for supporting verification and validation activities including test methods and test reports</li>
<li>Continuously evaluate and improve processes by collaborating with cross-functional groups</li>
<li>Collaborate with manufacturing and operations to support IQ/PQ/TMV of new test systems</li>
<li>Engage in architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure designs meet or exceed implementation, testing, scalability, and maintainability best practice guidelines</li>
<li>Ensure all quality system, regulatory, legal, and business requirements are met in the course of product development and market delivery</li>

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM
Required:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Software Engineering, or related Science or Engineering degree</li>
<li>8+ years of experience in a similar role, including experience developing product test systems</li>
<li>Experience working with standards for good laboratory practices (GLP), good manufacturing practices (GMP) and/or good clinical practices (GCP)</li>
<li>Experience establishing/building relationships with internal resources, contract resources, and large vendors</li>
<li>Demonstrated analytical skills</li>
<li>Automated test system design</li>
</ul>
Preferred:
<ul>
<li>Master degree in Software Engineering, Software Engineering, or related Science or Engineering degree</li>
<li>Experience with automated software test tools and techniques</li>
<li>Active implantable or Class III medical product development experience </li>
<li>Experience developing test system architectures</li>
<li>Experience developing in Python</li>
<li>Experience with industry standards for medical devices such as ISO 14971, ISO 14708, EN 45502, IEC 60601, IEC 62304, IEC 62366 etc.</li>
<li>Understanding of 21 CFR 820 requirements as well as ISO 13485 requirements for design, development, and manufacturing </li>

The salary for this position will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
Salary$141,000—$211,400 USD

Principal Software Engineer - Development of Production Test Systems

POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for various inspection, pre, and postproduction processes needed for part conformance and maintaining quality management system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
· Bubble prints and type up Verification records and inspection paperwork templates needed for job packets.
· Type results on inspection records and AS9102s when needed for shipments to customers.
· Assist with PPAP documentation when needed; control plans, inspection data and pFMEAs.
· Maintain SPC data and Gage R &amp; R data required by customer and enter in QC Calc.
· Maintain data in Unipoint system such as: Supplier Quality Records, Training, Calibration and Quality reports as needed.
· Review job paperwork for completeness and scan into system to ensure product traceability.
· Own record retention for completed jobs.
· Update in-process inspection paperwork to assist machinists.
· Special projects in quality area.
· Work with internal customers and assist with problem solving when needed.
· Work with other team members and manufacturing personnel in a cooperative and constructive manner.
· Conform to the company quality management system as documented.
· Any other duties as assigned by management. Assist Quality Manager as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or GED
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Proficient with Microsoft office programs, SPC exposure, ISO9001:2015, basic metrology, print reading, and geometric tolerancing.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1-3 years machine shop inspection OR 1-3 years supporting Microsoft Office based tasks.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Professional communication, both written and verbal.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Mobility in office setting.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: English
