Field Service Technician/Mechanical Engineer/Equipment Repair
AES motomation Inc. provides automation equipment and engineering services in North America. As an international company, headquartered in Germany and representing three Japanese suppliers, we sell leading edge handling products(robots, etc.) mainly to the semiconductor industry and support our customers in the pre- and post-sales phases by providing technical support.
We are looking to build/expand our repair and support activities and have immediate opening for Repair / Field Service Technician.
Position Description:
- Participate in in-house equipment repairs and refurbishment
- Troubleshoot field problems remotely by identifying root causes, communicating them to the technical support teams and providing solutions to the customers
- Troubleshoot field problems on site; Identify root causes and make repairs
- Manage spare parts business
- Provide technical support to customers in the pre-sales and post-sales phases as well as customer trainings
- Participation in our 24/7 remote and on-site support operations
- Applications Engineering support (if interested and capable)
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills in an international environment, exchanging information with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Excellent mechanical, electrical and software aptitude
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Must be able to travel up to 50% at times
- Must be willing to participate in various areas in support of the business
- Experience with semiconductor automation (robots) a plus, but will train the right candidate
- Experience working with semiconductor equipment a plus
- Multilingual, English and Japanese
