<li>Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.</li>
<li>Coordinate the annual audit process with external auditors, tax preparers, and consultants.</li>
<li>Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, JAMIS, or similar ERP platforms.</li>
</ul>
Accounting Operations
<ul>
<li>Oversee bank and credit card accounts, including monthly reconciliation reviews.</li>
<li>Manage cash flow and provide ongoing analysis of cash management.</li>
<li>Maintain the general ledger and manage timely month-end closings, including journal entries and revenue recognition.</li>
<li>Ensure timely and accurate preparation and posting of all invoices.</li>
</ul>
Payroll Management
<ul>
<li>Oversee payroll processing within Deltek Costpoint and iSolved systems.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate employee setup, timesheet postings, expense reports, and payroll journal entries.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure proper setup of employee deductions and oversee monthly benefit reconciliations.</li>
<li>Monitor payroll tax compliance and integration between HR, payroll, and accounting systems.</li>
</ul>
Accounts Payable &amp; Expense Management
<ul>
<li>Oversee Accounts Payable processes to ensure all vendor invoices are accurate and paid on time.</li>
<li>Monitor vendor balances to prevent duplicate or overpayments.</li>
</ul>
Policy, Systems &amp; Process Improvement
<ul>
<li>Partner with leadership and staff to enhance accounting systems, financial processes, and internal policies.</li>
<li>Ensure consistent compliance with company policies and alignment with strategic financial goals.</li>
<li>Recommend and implement process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
Required:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li>
<li>5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in government contracting.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of FAR, DCAA, CAS, and GAAP.</li>
<li>Proficiency with accounting systems used in government contracting (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, JAMIS).</li>
<li>Experience managing or supporting DCAA audits.</li>
<li>Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting and data analysis.</li>
</ul>
Preferred:
<ul>
<li>CPA or CPA candidate.</li>
<li>Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.</li>
<li>Experience preparing Incurred Cost Submissions (ICE schedules) and project accounting in a government contracting environment.</li>
</ul>
