JOB SUMMARY:

Bingo Staff is responsible for servicing guests during Bingo games, including selling additional special games and pull tabs, instructing customers in Bingo play, calling Bingo games, beverage service and other duties promoting guest satisfaction and play. Responsible for verifying winning Bingo cards and making payouts accordingly. This position is a grade 3/$15.16 per hour + tips.

ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS:

  1. Sell Bingo paper in pre-assigned sections.
  2. Promote and up-sell special games for guests - describing games, pay-outs, and costs.
  3. Promote Bingo play by providing guests with instructions, play assistance or information.
  4. Verify Bingo’s, call numbers from guest Bingo cards to caller and verify the customer is playing the correct Bingo game.
  5. Efficiently and accurately provide accountably of Bingo funds/stock.
  6. Provide proper game security.
  7. Perform money exchanges.
  8. Cooperate fully with supervisory direction.
  9. Provide excellent guest service.
  10. Performs side work duties: emptying trash, cleaning of ashtrays, vacuuming, cleaning tables, explaining the Bingo games and patterns, assisting in setting up and explaining the ecard system for electronic Bingo machines.
  11. Serve beverages and maintain set up and break down of drink station.
  12. Inform the supervisor of any disputes at Bingo tables.
  13. Assist in setting up and breaking down of Bingo Hall, games, notices, and promotions for the day.
  14. Handle multiple tasks and customers at once, remaining calm, efficient, and courteous.
  15. Learn and become proficient in all Bingo positions including floor sales, pull-tab sales, door sales cashier, main cashier, Bingo caller and paper clerk.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have good cash handling skills.
  • Previous experience with cash transactions required OR must have Bingo experience and be able to demonstrate knowledge of Bingo cash transactions, showing a complete understanding of the process.
  • Must have effective communication skills - verbally able to provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
  • Must have strong basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to move quickly and be able to walk, stand and bend/maneuver for up to 6 hours, including using repetitive motion of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Must always maintain strict confidentiality, including personnel data, gaming regulations and compliance.
  • Must abide by Internal Procedures and Gaming codes.
  • Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Southern Ute Division of Gaming Support license.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple priorities successfully.
  • Must be able to anticipate and respond to customer needs in a timely manner regarding both internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to able to take and provide direction in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 45 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods.
  • Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and flexibility.
  • Must be able to move quickly and be able to walk, stand and bend/maneuver for up to 6 hours, including using repetitive motion of arms, hands, and fingers.

WORKENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works with or near moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud, and occasionally very loud.
  • Must be able to constantly work under close surveillance cameras.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Candidate selected for employment will be subject to employment reference and background check.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Southern Ute Division of Gaming Support license.
  • Must sign confidentiality agreement at time of hire.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times including personnel data, gaming regulations, and department information.
  • Must comply fully with all Sky Ute Casino’s policies and procedures, Gaming Code regulations and any applicable policies and regulations set forth by the Casino Resort.
