POSITION DEFINITION: Works directly with applicants and residents of the LIPH and State Moderate/Elderly Rental Housing Programs by conducting interviews, verifying eligibility, and completing certifications. The role requires a thorough understanding of both the Department of Housing (DOH) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to ensure that all program requirements are met. As an Occupancy Specialist you will be responsible for managing an assigned caseload, including the ongoing verification of eligibility for continued occupancy as required by DOH and HUD regulations. Supports the Authority's mission to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to eligible individuals and families. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

<li>Receives oral and written instructions from Supervisor and reports work accomplished. </li>
<li>Manages an assigned caseload of applicants and residents, including certifications (initial, annual, interim), transfers, move-ins, move-outs (EOP), and continued occupancy in accordance with Connecticut State Moderate/Elderly Rental Housing regulations and HUD Public Housing requirements (24 CFR Part 960). </li>

Each area in production has specific standardized cleaning requirements that will need to be met. The ideal candidate will have immense attention to detail, works well under pressure, and is always willing to go above and beyond. You are open-minded and are proactive.&nbsp;
 
You Will:
<ul>
<li>
Maintain and complete daily cleaning records as assigned.
</li>
<li>
Ensure the production areas are free of debris, and in clean condition&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Ensure areas are sanitized, organized, and clean.
</li>
<li>
Work with management to ensure the cleaning schedule is completed daily, and scheduled accordingly.
</li>
<li>
Keep accurate records of cleaning supplies, and replenish as needed. Coordinate with management to ensure purchasing of supplies.
</li>
<li>
Ensure you are sweeping, mopping, and dusting areas. Re-stocking and cleaning bathrooms, hallways, offices and the retail space. Cleaning walls, production equipment, windows.
</li>
<li>
Remove and properly dispose of all refuse, recycling, cardboard and other disposal items.
</li>
</ul>
 
You Have:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>
1-2 Years of Experience working in sanitation (Willing to train the right candidate)
</li>
</ul>
 
Working Conditions:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>
Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including time in various temperature settings, with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
</li>
<li>
Must be comfortable using ladders, step ladders and platforms
</li>
</ul>
 
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager&nbsp;
 
$18-20 / Hour Range Full-Time 
 
Schedule&nbsp;
1st Shift, 2nd Shift, and Mid Shift Available
