ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Project Management:

This role involves preparing, analyzing, and submitting financial statements, regulatory reports, and other financial information to various stakeholders, including management, regulators, and auditors.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and the community in which it serves.

<li>Financial Reporting:
<ul>
<li>Preparing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement). </li>
<li>Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. </li>
<li>Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. </li>
<li>Performing variance analysis and other analytics of key business data. </li>
</ul>

<li>Regulatory Reporting:
<ul>
<li>Preparing and submitting regulatory reports to relevant authorities (e.g., Federal Reserve, FDIC). </li>
<li>Staying up to date on changes in accounting standards and regulations (e.g., GAAP, FIL letters related to regulatory reporting changes). </li>
<li>Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.</li>

<li>Process Improvement:
<ul>
<li>Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial and regulatory reporting processes. </li>
<li>Implementing process improvements and automation to streamline reporting workflows. </li>
<li>Developing and maintaining documentation of reporting processes and procedures. </li>

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.</li>
<li>Five or more years of progressively responsible managerial/leadership experience in accounting and financial reporting for financial institutions.</li>
<li>CPA certification is preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Extraordinarily strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, planning and communications skills.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of internal control over financial reporting, to include either Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 or FDIC Act Part 363 (FDICIA).</li>
<li>Strong technical knowledge of banking regulations, laws, guidelines, GAAP, and related procedures.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment must be adaptable to change. </li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Fiserv Prologue and other Bank specific accounts payable and reconciliation software.</li>
</ul>
INDEPENDENT ACTION: Establishes short-range plans and objectives within scope of Bank-wide policies and goals. Consults with manager regarding policy interpretation or exceptions.
