Welder /Tanker Trailer Mechanic Duties/Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Diagnose and repair tractors and tanker trailers.</li>
<li>Perform annual/systematic 90 day and HM-183 inspections (tanker trailers) on equipment as required.</li>
<li>Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.</li>
<li>Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and the shop as needed.</li>
<li>Order and receive parts and supplies as needed.</li>
<li>Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous waste.</li>
<li>Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.</li>
<li>Using welding equipment.</li>
<li>Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Perform HM-183 DOT inspections (P,V,I,K,L,HS,UC,) (EPA-M27) on tanker -trailers.</li>

Welder / Trailer Mechanic Required Skills/Abilities:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Must possess at least 3/4 years of experience in repair and service of tanker trailers and medium duty trucks.</li>
<li>Required to have demonstrated knowledge of vehicle and equipment theory, principles and repair relating to diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years experience of tractor and tanker&nbsp; trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Ability to use vehicle diagnostic software.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3/4 years as a fleet mechanic.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Minimum of 3/4 years of DOT HM-183 certification, training or experience. ASE Certification not required but recommended.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years operating welding equipment (TIG), R-stamp Certification and confined space training is a plus!</li>
<li>High school diploma, completion of G.E.D. required.</li>
