Position Summary The Director ofDevelopment I reports to the Territory Executive Director and isresponsible for fundraising as a generalist on behalf of theuniversity in support of key priorities. The role will be assignedto a Territory based on prospect population coverage needs withtravel expectations of 30% - 35% of the time.
Job Description Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Focus on acquisition, retention, and reacquisition of prospects($250,000+) in the assigned region with a primary focus onunrestricted giving.&nbsp;Qualify and cultivate donors with thegoal of increasing the donor’s support to major gift levels.</li>
<li>Work closely with all levels of development officers in theTerritory to ensure short and long-term fundraising success. Workclosely with subject matter experts in the Philanthropic StrategyVertical to meet the fundraising priorities of the Danforth Campusschools, programs, university priorities, university initiativesand Principal Gifts team to identify, cultivate, solicit, close,and steward principal gift prospects.</li>
<li>Help to create and foster a culture of collaboration andteamwork that celebrates outcomes, builds individual and teamcapacity, and ensures that WashU UA is a preferredworkplace.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>

Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree.</li>
<li>Experience soliciting gifts of $250,000 or more.</li>
<li>Seven to eight years of related experience.</li>
<li>Ability to think strategically and analytically as well as planand implement effectively.</li>
<li>Demonstrated interest in meeting people; strong desire toinitiate contact with and develop relationships with prospects anddonors.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success as a team member who can also workindependently.</li>
<li>Capacity to complete a large amount of work in a short timeframe, given the pace of annual giving work.</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively within a complex organizationacross multiple units dealing with diverse constituents (schooldeans, administrators, alumni, students, university-wideadvancement staff and key volunteers) toward development objectivesand building effective working relationships.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills executed in atimely fashion.</li>
<li>Ability to handle multiple projects effectively; a highlyorganized work style is essential.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively utilize computer and databasetechnology; experience with Excel and/or Salesforce.</li>
<li>Attention to detail, highly motivated, organized, positive, andenergetic.</li>
<li>Flexibility to adapt during a time of organizationalchange.</li>
<li>Interest in giving and receiving feedback for professionalgrowth.</li>

Job Overview:
This brand-new state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to open in September 2024. Interviews will begin in August 2024.
We are looking for technicians / mechanics who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Technicians use their knowledge &amp; skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our customers&nbsp;</li>
<li>Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles</li>
<li>Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections</li>
<li>Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively</li>
<li>Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization</li>
<li>Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns&nbsp;</li>
<li>Work together with other Technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications

<li>Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers</li>
<li>3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic</li>
<li>ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve</li>
<li>Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles</li>
<li>Meet or exceed hourly goals</li>
<li>Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes</li>
<li>Professional appearance and strong communication</li>
<li>A desire for long-term career development</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds</li>
<li>Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head</li>
<li>Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair</li>
<li>Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools</li>
<li>Walk/stand for the majority of their workday</li>
<li>Drive manual transmissions vehicles</li>
<li>Efficiently navigate a computer</li>
</ul>
