Position Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time academic Anatomic Pathologist in Gastrointestinal (GI), Hepatic and Pancreatic Pathology. Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to, competence/expertise in a Pathology subspecialty. The selected candidate will be expected to work with medical students, residents and fellows working on GI pathology clinical services. Participation in autopsy service is expected. This position involves both independent and collaborative research with clinicians and basic science investigators, utilizing general surgical pathology and subspecialty skills in often complicated cases.

The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors: $18,170 to $26,577 per month ($218,039 to $318,927 annually); Associate Professors: $21,903 to $30,049 per month ($262,831 to $360,592 annually); Professors: $26,023 to $39,377 per month ($312,274 to $472,526 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This is a full-time, 12-month service period (July 1 – June 30) position and remains open until filled with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2024 but is flexible.
Qualifications Candidates must have subspecialty expertise in Gastrointestinal, Hepatic and Pancreatic pathology. Must have demonstrated excellence in teaching (didactic, conference-based and over-the-microscope). Candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. (or foreign equivalent) and be Board-eligible or -certified in Anatomic Pathology. Must qualify for a license to practice medicine in Washington State. The Role:
The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. PRIMARY PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY:
The Brennan School of Business’s 2022-2028 strategic plan envisions to equip Brennan graduates with the skills necessary to address significant business challenges and gain recognition for their leadership abilities, entrepreneurial mindset, and global perspective. As part of this vision, a tenure-track faculty position specializing in entrepreneurship will enhance the entrepreneurial curriculum, teach the standard seven course load, provide guidance via advising students, and engage in scholarly activities. Given the pivotal role entrepreneurship plays within the strategic plan, a new entrepreneurship faculty member will collaborate closely with the Dean, Associate Dean, Department Chair, and fellow colleagues at the Brennan School of Business on various initiatives, including the following:

<li>Develop curriculum innovation within the entrepreneurship major and minor to support DEIB/sustainability initiatives and experiential learning</li>
<li>Support entrepreneurship through participation in external events (competitions, conferences) as well as internal events.</li>
<li>Support the creation of an Entrepreneurship Center (and its website) that emphasize sustainability and underserved entrepreneurs</li>
<li>Support the development of strategic partnerships that advance the entrepreneurial mindset.</li>
<li>Organize the freshmen Brennan Business Idea Competition (MGMT 197) and sophomore Brennan Business Challenge Competition (ENTR 297) with departmental colleagues</li>
