I.K. Hofmann, USA has a great opportunity for a temp to hire role in the Spartanburg area. This candidate must have prior experience operating a manual lathe.
 
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Cylinder Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating various machining tools and equipment to produce high-quality parts.
 
Job Responsibilities 
• Operate manual lathe
• Fabricate hydraulic cylinder rod, barrel, piston and gland
• Must be familiar with OD and ID threading and standard and metric components
• Perform precision machining to tight tolerances using a variety of tools
• Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments like bore gauges and calipers
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing routine maintenance
 
Essential Job Functions
• Frequently positioning oneself to perform work tasks
• This position operates tools, objects, and controls as necessary
• Ability to work in different climates, such as extremely hot/humid or cold, for an entire shift.
• Must be able to move up to 50lbs
 
Skills
• Familiarity with operating precision measuring instruments for quality control
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
 
Schedule
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Pay rate depends on experience.

Manual Lathe Operator

Job Responsibilities:
• Machine parts to specs using machine tools such as lathes, shapers or grinders
• knowledge of measuring tools to include calipers, gauges, etc., is required 
• Responsible for the proper set-up of machine tools and materials into the machines, as needed.
• Measure, examine and test completed units for defects using tools
• Study and sample parts based off schematics, blueprints, etc.
 
Essential Job Functions:
• Must be able to move up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the shift
• Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions
• Must be able to position self to operate machines, and any other tools as necessary
 
Work Environment:
• Must be able to wear protective gear such as steel toed boots
• Are sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures. Workspaces may not be temperature-controlled.
• May have to get into awkward positions to reach cramped workspaces.
 
Schedule:
• Monday-Friday 2:45PM-11:15PM with overtime and weekends, as needed
 
Payrate:
• $15.75/hr.

Machine Operators Needed in Kennesaw, 1st Shift, $15/hr., Great Company, Great Benefits!

Are you a born leader that enjoys winning as team? Can you think strategically, and problem solve? US Engine Valve is looking for motivated leaders to direct our off-shift operations. As our Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to manage multiple areas of the plant; oversee the production of quality parts to achieve plant goals in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity. Overnight (11pm-7:30am) shift is available. Essential Functions include: 
<ul>
<li>Assure the equipment and processes we use are safe for associates and environment. Meet safety goals.</li>
<li>Follow the Quality Management and Environmental Management System and Safety guidelines daily.</li>
<li>Identify and correct quality problems.</li>
<li>Identify and ensure execution of department training needs, and ensure associates are qualified to operate the equipment.</li>
<li>Lead teams to improve our processes, quality, cost and associate development.</li>
<li>Advise, direct, and supervise production operators on expectations; resolve employee concerns; monitor associate performance, vacation and attendance.</li>
<li>Monitor and react to product flow to ensure correct manning strategy to meet customer demands.</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement in 5S, housekeeping, organization, and preventive maintenance.</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum of high school diploma or GED from an accredited school; Bachelor's degree preferred from related field from an accredited institution</li>
<li>Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing facility in a supervisory position</li>
