Are you passionate about automation, PLCs, robotics, and manufacturing equipment? Toyota is looking for experienced technical professionals to support the launch and development of Battery Pack Assembly equipment at one of its newest manufacturing facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge automated manufacturing systems while collaborating with engineering teams across North America and Japan.

Responsibilities

As a member of Toyota's Production Engineering Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering (VME) Battery Pack Assembly team, you will:

Support equipment development alongside North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs) and global engineering teams
Assist with equipment specification development and standards compliance
Participate in machine risk assessments and equipment safety confirmations
Perform Seibi equipment checks for electrical, mechanical, and safety verification
Verify conveyors, logistics equipment, and machine safety interlocks
Support equipment buy-offs at supplier locations and larger production zone trials
Assist with equipment adjustments to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets
Travel to suppliers and Toyota facilities throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Japan

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in a technical field, completion of a skilled trades program, or 3+ years of related technical experience
Minimum 2 years of PLC programming or troubleshooting experience with one or more of the following:
Toyopuc
Allen-Bradley
Omron
Siemens
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Ability to work overtime, including occasional 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
Ability to travel up to 50% during peak project phases

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing equipment installation, procurement, commissioning, or confirmation experience
Experience with Kawasaki or FANUC industrial robots
Experience integrating or troubleshooting Keyence vision systems
Experience working with AGVs, AMRs, or automated material handling systems
Automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred
