Magnolia Plumbing, Heating &amp; Cooling. is currently looking for a Project Manager for our Special Projects Department. This candidate must be well rounded and have a strong background in both Plumbing Mechanical Systems. Candidate must be able to work independently as well as work with and as necessary lead construction, replacement and retrofit projects ranging from $50k to $41million. Duties and responsibilities to include, but not limited to, installing and coordinating all facets of commercial plumbing and minor mechanical, managing labor, sub-contractors, and projects according to plans and specifications. Candidate must be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with all Magnolia employees, General Contractor, Owners, Owner Reps, Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Trades, Inspectors, and Vendors. Candidates must understand plumbing, gas and mechanical and hydronic systems.
Must be highly motivated and preferably have knowledge of the construction industry through field experience. This person will be responsible for ensuring the execution of subcontracts from project’s start to finish.
 
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Review construction documents and understand the scope of work connected to subcontract’s</li>
<li>Maintain an open line of communication with project owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors throughout the process</li>
<li>Understand and execute take-off for plumbing and mechanical systems to assist in order materials or preparing change orders</li>
<li>Assemble and submit subcontract change orders, submittals, RFI's, and change orders to clients</li>

<li>Journeyman Plumbing, Gas Fitting, and/or HVAC license minimum</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of all codes</li>
<li>Portfolio or History of previous projects exhibiting ability to prioritize and plan work for efficient use of time</li>

<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li>

Job Summary
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and modifying drawings per specifications and customer requirements. Prepare/maintain accurate catalog drawings and digital library for website. Work closely with Division Engineer, Sales, Production and Quality Control to ensure the product is built according to the latest part or shop drawings.

Job Responsibilities

<li>Create Shop Drawings of products using 2D or 3D drafting</li>
<li>Create special manufacturing drawings for immediate production</li>
<li>Adhere to customer (Internal and External) volumes, timelines and expectations</li>
<li>Prepare, modify, and maintain accurate catalog drawings from existing and new products for production and Quality Control</li>
<li>Prepare product assembly or shop drawings for existing/new products as needed for sales staff and special drawings for plant projects as needed</li>
<li>Update/maintain digital database, i.e. Autodesk vault, cloud server, hard-copies and engineering documents</li>
<li>Other duties may be assigned as needed</li>
</ul>
 
Job Requirements
 
<ul>
<li>2+ years of relevant experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required/Associates Degree preferred</li>
<li>Must possess the ability to read and interpret sketches, construction, and civil plans</li>
<li>Ability to review and understand contract drawings and specifications</li>
<li>Proficient in all Microsoft Office</li>
<li>Basic mathematical skills</li>
<li>Must be detail orientated and able to handle several projects at once with minimum help or guidelines from department from start to finish</li>
