RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Determine initial inspection methods based or best-known methods (where applicable) and manage metrology requirements.</li>
<li>Facilitate process qualification planning assuring conformance to standards and specifications. Define process qualification plans, inspection plans, inspection workflow, metrology requirements and workmanship standards for process engineering.</li>
<li>Participate in quality readiness at the site by providing the inspections plans, metrology, Cpk requirements and any special qualification requirements.</li>
<li>Support the analysis of defined risk areas and experimentation, proof of principle tooling, feasibility studies, capability studies, detailed design and analysis, DOE, passive data collection (PDC) and or basic technology searches and development.</li>
<li>Participate in product &amp; process FMEA, characterization of product and process critical features and respective risk assessment activities.</li>
<li>Develop, facilitate and control standards and methods both internally and externally for the inspection of CTF’s inclusive of accuracy, linearity, R&amp;R’s, long term stability, FAI’s, Cmk’s and Cpk’s.</li>
<li>Ability to analyze operating data, including yield, cycle time, and throughput to identify and action opportunities, utilizing the appropriate tools to achieve desired outcome (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean etc.)</li>
<li>Assist product and process engineering in the reconciliation of First Article Inspections, Capability Studies and Comparison Studies through corrective actions driven by root cause analysis that incorporate process improvement tools.</li>
<li>Assist process development engineers and mechanical Integrity engineers in the (data &amp; statistical) analysis of feasibility studies, DOE’s, passive data collection’s (PDC) and capability studies.</li>
<li>Advance capabilities of Operations Team and partners with Quality Team to understand and implement new test methods and best practices</li>
<li>Coordinate and or participate in the metrology transfer and training to respective personnel.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Bachelor's degree from four-year College in engineering, Quality Assurance; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>

Design, build, and perfect tooling for new products. Assist in process improvements. Build quotations in ERP system. Occasionally repair equipment as needed.

DUTIES
Using customer samples, prints or concept drawings, design extrusion dies and calibrators for new products. Render design drawings in 3D CAD. Order tooling from machine shops. Resolve technical issues with suppliers.

Balance the new tools to produce an acceptable sample, generating a minimum of scrap. This process should be done methodically and scientifically.
Assist with equipment set-ups and die changeovers.

Create quotations for new parts, using your knowledge of our process capabilities.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Level 4 Machinist to join our team. This is a senior-level role, ideal for a highly skilled and independent machinist who can confidently run advanced setups, inspect critical aerospace parts, and help mentor junior machinists. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of CNC operations, GD&amp;T, and quality standards, with the ability to keep jobs running smoothly and efficiently with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
