This position is responsible for operating CNC plasma cutting equipment to cut steel and structural materials according to engineering drawings and customer specifications. Responsible for inspecting PCB parts and assemblies to applicable IPC and/or J-STD workmanship standards, in addition to internal quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Inspector: AOI at Altek

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
<ul>
<li>Review AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement and solder joint defects.</li>
<li>Load programs per documentation.</li>
<li>Using magnification aids and stereo-microscopes, inspect populated printed circuit boards and identify component misplacement and solder defects to IPC-A-610 standards.</li>
<li>Recognize problems in the operation process or with components and communicate those problems to machine operator for immediate correction.</li>
<li>Actively participates in quality initiatives by participating in problem solving, process improvements and performance measurements.</li>
<li>Responsible for understanding &amp; following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures</li>
<li>Responsible for product quality as defined by internal and external customers, work instructions, specifications and procedures.</li>
<li>Responsible for following established safety rules &amp; 6S</li>
<li>Conduct in process and final inspections on PCB assemblies, sub-assemblies, and finished products</li>
<li>Ensure that the product conforms to work instructions, IPC or J-STD standards, and internal quality/workmanship standards</li>
<li>Identify and segregate nonconforming materials</li>
<li>Complete daily inspection report denoting the acceptance and/or rejection rate all items in accordance with the standards defined within job traveler</li>
<li>Supports supervisors and/or operators in the resolution of quality problems</li>
