Job Description

Job Description Join a mission that packages progress

Novolex advances packaging through innovation and sustainability across food, retail, health, and industrial sectors. Our commitment is built on three pillars—products, operations, and people—that shape every initiative and improvement.

Your challenge

Transform downtime into uptime. Bring rigor to preventive maintenance. Elevate equipment performance so every run hits spec.

How you’ll make it happen

  • Own electrical and electronic control system health: troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production assets in a high-speed environment.
  • Execute PMs, corrective repairs, new installations, upgrades, and facility changes; document work and parts usage thoroughly in the CMMS.
  • Program and configure equipment—PLC, HMI, and VFD—to meet product specifications; perform parameter changes and transfers and validate results.
  • Resolve issues spanning PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, AC/DC drives, temperature controls, and computer-based systems.
  • Assemble/disassemble and service automated and manual electro-mechanical systems using schematics, engineering drawings, and clear written or verbal direction.
  • Run conduit with precision—bend, mount boxes, pull feed wires, and terminate cleanly.
  • Perform bench diagnostics and rebuilds on offline parts and machines; return to repaired-parts stock or red-tag and coordinate with leads/supervisors for replacement or vendor repair.
  • Work safely, quickly, and accurately—independently and under pressure—to keep lines running.
  • Partner with engineering and operations to create, modify, and refine manufacturing work instructions and process flow documentation.

What sets you up for success

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Certification, or 3+ years as an industrial electrician with mechanical aptitude; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with 120/277/480V systems and 3-phase power distribution.
  • PLC proficiency—Allen-Bradley and RSLogix experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of VFDs, DC drives, and servo drives.
  • Process control fluency: 4–20 mA loops, positioning feedback, and other analog controls.
  • Experience with temperature control systems.
  • Deep understanding of industrial electrical systems maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The bigger picture

Every repair, parameter change, and well-executed PM supports Novolex’s sustainability pillars—strengthening products, optimizing operations, and empowering people.
