Job Description
Support the Plant Quality Manager in managing, maintaining, and implementing Quality and Food Safety policies, SOPs, and work instructions to ensure compliance with SQF standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Act as an Internal Auditor during monthly SQF Program Audits and weekly Housekeeping Inspections.</li>
<li>Compile non-conformances from audits and inspections to incorporate into the CAPA program.</li>
<li>Manage the facility Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) program by assigning CAPA owners, conducting root cause analysis, tracking completion status, assessing corrective action effectiveness, maintaining documentation, and escalating issues to the Corporate Quality team as necessary.</li>
<li>Serve as a site backup SQF practitioner and maintain the knowledge base for local and corporate policies, procedures, and records to demonstrate compliance during SQF audits.</li>
<li>Oversee the site Environmental Monitoring Program by ensuring all samples are taken according to schedule, ensuring corrective actions and repeat swabs are conducted when action levels are exceeded, tracking and trending results, and reviewing the program's effectiveness during Quality Management Reviews and KPI tracking.</li>

Essential Skills
<ul>
<li>Expertise in food safety and quality control.</li>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Biology, or Chemistry.</li>
<li>At least 5 years of experience in the food or beverage industry in QA/Food Safety/SQF Practitioner roles.</li>
<li>PCQI Certification.</li>
<li>Knowledge of FDA &amp; GFSI (SQF, BRC, or FSSC) food safety and quality standards.</li>
<li>Experience working in an environment certified to a GFSI benchmarked standard.</li>
</ul>
Additional Skills &amp; Qualifications
<ul>
<li>ERP experience.</li>
<li>Ability to obtain or currently possess an SQF practitioner certification.</li>
<li>Internal audit certification or the ability to obtain it within 3 months.</li>
<li>Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred).</li>

Schaefer's is looking for a self motivated individual on 1st shift to bend and sort materials for production needs.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
Use of standard industry tools and machinery. 
Familiarity with tooling and tooling requirements. 
Knowledge of material types and gauge thickness. 
Prepare product for the next step in the production process, by checking for defects in detail and/or cosmetic appearance. 
Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions. 
Perform all essential functions/duties within quality requirements. 
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
Follow all required safety procedures.

The Bending Department houses a fully automated bending work center suited for high volume versatility, supplemented with a range of CNC press brakes, to achieve Schaefer's signature customization. The seasoned Bending Department is staffed with a comprehensive operator experience of over 50 years. Duties/Responsibilities:

<li>Program, operate, and adjust CNC controls.</li>
