Garden State Tile is currently seeking an experienced and exceptional Assembly Associate to join our TEAM! As an Tile Sample Assembly Associate in our Sample Production Department Warehouse, you are preparing and assembling products or components according to provided instructions, specifications, and quality standards to produce merchandising items for our sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and providing the highest level of concierge customer service in a timely safe, accurate, and efficient manner. Additional duties specific to a position in our Sample Production Department include the operation of hand tools, power tools, wet tile saw, table saw (wood) and forklift.
 
This position offers a competitive base hourly wage range of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.
 
Garden State Tile’s facility is equipped with state of the art wireless warehouse technology uses Epicor Prophet 21 technology and is conveniently located on Route 34 in Wall Township, New Jersey. The sample department and sample production facility in location within our Wall New Jersey Design Center and provides quality ceramic, porcelain, glass and stone products to fill the sample and merchandising needs of dealers, architects, designers, residential customers and Team GST in all areas serviced.
 
Current scheduling for this position is 5 days a week, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, 8 hours worked per day with a one-hour unpaid lunch.

About the position:
The Steel Trims Operator will be responsible for effectively carrying out operational duties associated with the shearing of steel into flat stock sheets, then packaging them to go to trim shops, this role will be working in a small team and will also occasionally operate the press brake.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate overhead crane to transport steel coils to saw
· Operate cutting and folding machinery/equipment in accordance with relevant SOP to ensure product quality and standards are maintained in a safe environment.
· Conduct regular checks to ensure products are of correct specification, quantity, and quality.
· Meet all reasonable output targets as specified by the Logistics Lead.
· Carry out basic maintenance duties and maintain a good standard of housekeeping.
· Strap and band finished flat stock to prepare for shipment.
· Validate and perform the quality check of incoming trims according to order.
· Operate forklift to move finished flat stock to correct areas.
· Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
· Load/unload trims and flat stock and validate related paperwork

The Maintenance Manager leads all plant maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and seamless coordination with other departments. This role is key to producing high-quality products efficiently, cost-effectively, and on schedule—while aligning with company policies, customer expectations, and plant goals.
 
Responsibilities
 
Safety &amp; Compliance: Enforce all company policies, safety regulations, GMPs, and recognized best practices.
Leadership &amp; Communication:
<ul>
<li>Participate in plant staff, shift, and safety meetings.</li>
<li>Conduct regular departmental meetings and training based on identified needs.</li>
<li>Engage in operational planning to support plant objectives.</li>
</ul>
Operational Excellence:
<ul>
<li>Develop new processes to boost manufacturing efficiency and lower costs.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Engineering on machinery and system upgrades to improve performance.</li>
<li>Diagnose equipment issues, implement preventative measures, and eliminate recurring breakdowns.</li>
</ul>
Budget &amp; Resource Management:
<ul>
<li>Oversee the maintenance budget to ensure efficient use of funds.</li>
<li>Reduce repetitive purchases by addressing root causes.</li>
</ul>
Team Development:
<ul>
<li>Recruit, train, and mentor maintenance personnel to achieve department goals.</li>
</ul>
Vendor &amp; Project Management:
<ul>
<li>Meet with vendors and visitors to evaluate solutions.</li>
<li>Lead special projects that impact other functional areas.</li>
<li>Travel requirement: up to 25%.</li>

Qualifications
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and maintenance experience.</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years’ supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment with proven leadership ability.</li>
