Position Summary: The Quality Coordinator supports the Quality Department by coordinating and completing the documentation needed in the day to day operations of the department including, but not limited to, calibration, inventory paperwork, processing Customer and Supplier returns, metric reporting (KPIs) and data entry to maintain the follow of the product through the department.
Responsibilities:

 About Advanced Infrastructure Design, Inc. (AID) AID is a growing yet established consulting firm located in central New Jersey, offering professional services in non-destructive testing and evaluation (NDT/NDE) of highway infrastructure (bridges and pavements), pavement evaluation and design, geotechnical design and subsurface investigation, subsurface and utility mapping, and forensic studies. AID owns and operates an array of NDT equipment, including a Laser Crack Measurement System (LCMS), Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), various air-launched and ground- coupled Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) antennas, and many others such as a high-speed profiler and walking profilers. In addition, AID runs its own soils, asphalt, and concrete materials testing laboratory. Job Description The Senior Engineer position will involve performing engineering tasks, in the field, office, and lab, under the supervision of more senior engineers and managers. Your primary responsibilities will be to support and carry out non-destructive testing, evaluation, and reporting as it relates to transportation infrastructure. You may also be needed to assist in other areas of work, as needs dictate, especially assisting on Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). Based on your performance and the needs of the company, this position presents the potential for increased responsibility and growth within the firm. This is a full-time position with full benefits for a qualified applicant. The candidate should have at least B.S.C.E. degree (M.S.C.E. or higher preferred) with thorough knowledge of NDT technologies applied in civil engineering. He/she should be well-versed with NDT testing and analysis methods that include GPR (for Asphalt thickness measurement and Subsurface utility Engineering (SUE)), Impact Echo (IE), Surface Analysis of Seismic Waves (SASW), pavement testing and evaluation. Knowledge of other NDT technologies such as Infrared Thermography, Electrical Resistivity, Ultrasonic Testing, FWD, LCMS or others is highly desirable. It is also preferable that the candidate has some knowledge of geotechnical engineering and geophysical engineering. Effective oral and written communication skills are required. The immediate responsibilities of the successful candidate may include but are not limited to the execution of NDT/NDE projects, QC/QA of NDT engineering design projects as well as assisting with project management. These projects typically involve conducting site reconnaissance visits and performing NDT testing; evaluating the existing condition of pavements; locating subsurface utilities, analyzing conventional and NDT test data (e.g., analysis of GPR data, LCMS and back calculation of FWD data, etc.); preparing proposals and compiling cost estimates; invoices, as well as, preparing technically and grammatically sound project reports. The candidate is also expected to supervise other staff members, including NDT Technicians. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

The Mechanical Engineer would be the technical expert specializing in the design and development of alignment mechanisms that ensure reliable connections in end use applications.

The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical expertise in the design, development, and manufacturing of connector mechanisms, with a focus on creating robust systems that guide connectors together even in misaligned customer applications. This role involves working with metal components including guide pins, bearings, springs, levers and other mechanical elements. In this cross-functional position, they will execute the technical aspects of the organization's strategic plans, serve as a technical liaison for sales and marketing teams, and provide guidance to engineers and support personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Design and develop mechanisms for connector alignment, including guide pins, bearings, springs and structural components made from steel and aluminum, ensuring reliability under misalignment conditions and performing failure analysis on defects from customer applications and manufacturing processes.</li>

<li>Lead efforts in identifying new or alternative materials (e.g., advanced steels, aluminums, or coatings) and benchmarking them, while participating in the development of innovative manufacturing techniques for mechanism components.</li>
<li>Actively collaborate with product designers on design reviews, component testing, qualification, and introduction of new mechanisms, including derivatives that address market demands for improved alignment and durability; participate in quality investigations to ensure mechanism specifications are met.</li>
<li>Participate in fixture design and create/manage test plans to support the NPI process, with a focus on simulating misalignment scenarios and evaluating surface finish impacts.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS:
