Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant certification preferred. Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible Pediatric Nursing experience required. BCLS required every 2 years.
 
Computer Skills / Technical Knowledge: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient in electronic health record management systems. Expert excel and data base tools. General knowledge of computer applications for the frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
 
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages. Ability to understand and identify statistical trend analysis. Ability to identify numerical trends and variances for financial analysis.
 
Language Skills: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to successfully draft reports, business correspondence and policy. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with various levels of individuals. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
 
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate course of action.
 
Other Qualifications: Ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people, both on a one-on-one basis and in meetings and group presentations; must be able to relate to and work with ill, emotionally upset and sometimes hostile people. Knowledge of current medical terminology in order to communicate with physicians, staff and patients. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. High level of integrity, discretion, humility, and professionalism. Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to perform duties under pressure, prioritize workload, and timely meet deadlines. Must have the aptitude and ability to self-direct work. Must be able to work weekends and nights as required.
