POSITION PURPOSE:
To provide an efficient, exceptional dining experience with first-class customer service. As a Dietary Aide you will prepare meals for residents at regularly scheduled mealtimes. Dietary cooks ensure residents receive the high standard of care by providing the appropriate items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and ensuring the kitchen and dietary equipment is clean and sanitized. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
· Prepares and serves beverages per recipe.
· Performs food preparation, covering, storage, and labeling tasks as assigned.
· Arrange tray and or table settings with proper tableware, condiments, and tray card.
· Serves meals to residents in accordance with established schedules, dietary procedures and resident rights/quality of life principles.
· Delivers nourishments and supplements to the nurse station for distribution to specific residents.
· Assists in maintaining dry storage areas and handling the unpacking, dating, and rotating of food and non-food supplies as directed.
· Avoids waste of food items and dietary supplies.
· Clears tables and removes dishes, trays, and utensils from the dining room to the dishwashing area.
· Scrapes, empties soiled dishes, disposes of waste, properly loads dish machine, and operates automated dishwashing solution dispensing systems. Records wash and rinse temperatures as requested.
· Unload dish machine and sorts clean dishes. Washes and sanitizes cooking equipment and utensils by hand as necessary.
· Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, counters, and preparation and storage areas as directed and according to established schedules, and facility and departmental policies for routine cleaning.
· Bags and dispose of garbage according to established procedures.
· Deliver soiled tablecloths and dietary linens to laundry.
· Reports and documents resident changes in consumption or behaviors appropriately.
· Actively participates in QAPI (Quality Assurance Process Improvement) program, taking a proactive approach to quality care and services on a continuous basis with engagement of residents, family members and staff.
· Demonstrates high standards of excellence for meeting resident needs. Communicates effectively, establishes rapport and maintains relationships with residents.
· Meets requirement of regular attendance to perform job duties.

Position Description:
• Assist with creating, executing, and scoring results supporting research team needs, including but not limited to: 1.) sampling and data collection under greenhouse/controlled environment conditions 2.) processing samples under sterile lab conditions 3.) measuring, imaging, and analyzing experimental results 4.) coordinating sampling and preparing of samples as needed • Execute plant tissue culture work including aspects of plant transformation, plant propagation, and conduct analytical assays of plant tissue samples as needed. • Assist with molecular biology tasks, as needed • Work in and maintain a safe work environment; includes using aseptic, sterile techniques • Document experimental details with ability to analyze data and interpret results • Recording pertinent information in proprietary and standard software applications Qualifications: • Ideal candidate has an Associate or Bachelor's degree in the biological sciences, preferably with industry-related experience or equivalent amount of relevant education and experience. • Molecular biology experience is desirable, including techniques such as nucleic acid isolation methods, PCR experience, DNA vector construction, and gel electrophoresis. • Plant transformation experience in classroom or industry setting is highly desirable • Problem solving skills are required. • Attention to detail and ability to stay focused while performing repetitive tasks is required • Ability to work well with teams, as well as the ability to work independently is required • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills are required • Self-motivated and goal-oriented person with excellent work ethics and time management.
