Attention all Nurse Practitioners, we are calling you to partner with us as independent contractors providing services to our Military Service members.
We primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) in the State of Kentucky on an "as needed basis".
We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.</li>
<li>Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.</li>
<li>Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.</li>
<li>Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.</li>
<li>Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system.</li>

Requirements:

<li>Supervising Physician may required depending on the state requirement</li>
<li>Active NP license in the state</li>
<li>CPR/BLS Certification</li>
<li>Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred</li>

<li>Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily</li>
<li>Able to work extended hours</li>

Once both patient and Audiologist are ready, the staff leave the room and return once the hearing test is completed to assist the patient to checkout.</li>

Key Roles &amp; Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Provides respiratory care through patient assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Performs all general and critical care respiratory care procedures and diagnostics on patients ages infant through adult.
<ul>
<li>These duties include but are not limited to; mechanical ventilation, airway management, critical care transport, arterial blood gas puncture, medication delivery, bronchial hygiene, patient assessments and education.</li>
</ul>

</ul>
Schedule: Seven 8-hour shifts per pay period (two week period), every other weekend &amp; holiday requirement. Rotating days, evenings, nights. Shifts are 0630 - 1500, 1430 - 2300, 2230 - 0700.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must hold and maintain certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or a Certified Respiratory Therapist, or equivalent</li>
<li>Must hold state licensure in appropriate state of practice upon hire or have applied and are waiting for state licensure in appropriate state of practice to award licensure not to exceed 30 days from date of hire</li>
<li>Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire</li>

About the position:

<li>Our ideal candidate would be a strong team player, desiring&nbsp;</li>
<li>7-day, service coverage model</li>
<li>Call is 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM</li>
<li>Overnight and weekend call is shared by the physician pool</li>
<li>Telehealth to critical access hospitals in area</li>
<li>Managing the care of psychiatric patients in the emergency department, including leading care rounds, triage, and evaluation</li>
<li>Consultation to Level 1 Trauma Center</li>

About our Behavioral Health Team:
<ul>
<li>Join a group of 9 adult and 4 child and adolescent psychiatrists as part of a Behavioral Health Care Team. Other members of the team include doctoral level psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, RN’s, and clincal assistants.&nbsp; The Behavioral Health Division provides a spectrum of care for children and adults, including inpatient psychiatric care, consult-liaison, and emergency psychiatry, ECT procedures (not providing at the current time but the goal is to start again), intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services, and an outpatient behavioral health clinic. The Division also includes Health Psychology doctorate and master’s level psychologists.</li>
<li>The Behavioral Health Department provides a spectrum of care for children and adults, including inpatient psychiatric care, consult-liaison and emergency psychiatry, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services, and an outpatient behavioral health clinic.</li>
<li>Integrated pharmacist team includes a Hospitalist and Pharmacist</li>
<li>Essentia Health Duluth hospital: Adult in-patient unit has 44 beds; Child/Adolescent inpatient unit has 16 beds.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:&nbsp;

<li>BC/BE Psychiatry</li>
<li>Interest in ECT would be a plus.</li>
