The Nursing Supervisor functions under the direction of the Director of Nursing. DENTAL HYGIENIST JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.</li>
<li>Prepares patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping patients.</li>
<li>Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.</li>
<li>Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.</li>
<li>Selects materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patients' oral health.</li>
<li>Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.</li>
<li>Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening, feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession, and exposing and developing radiographic studies.</li>
<li>Arrests dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.</li>

Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Education, licensing, and certification: graduate of an accredited college or university, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing</li>
<li>Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.</li>
<li>Current CPR certification</li>
<li>TB test and physical examination.</li>
<li>Maintain required insurance.</li>
<li>Good interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.</li>
<li>Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.</li>
<li>Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions. </li>
<li>Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to the patient’s home.</li>
<li>Ability to provide basic medical management up to medically fragile end of life care.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:

<li>1+ years of experience as an RN/LPN in a clinical or home health setting.</li>
