What You'll Do:
In this dynamic role, you will:

<li>Consult with physicians and allied health professionals to assess patients' nutritional needs and recommend tailored diet plans.</li>
<li>Conduct malnutrition assessments and nutrition-focused physical exams.</li>
<li>Participate in clinical rounds and departmental meetings, sharing valuable insights with your team.</li>
<li>Provide education to patients and their families on self-management of dietary needs.</li>
<li>Flexibly cross-cover pediatric and neonatal units as needed.</li>
<li>Engage in professional development activities, including literature reviews and presentations.</li>
<li>Maintain current credentials and licensure while contributing to evidence-based clinical practice.</li>
<li>Take on additional responsibilities as required, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care.</li>

What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
<ul>
<li>Education:
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor's degree in Food &amp; Nutrition Science from an accredited institution, along with completion of an accredited dietetic internship.</li>
<li>A Master's degree from an accredited college or university (if completed after January 1, 2024).</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Experience:
<ul>
<li>1-2 years of general clinical nutrition experience preferred.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Licenses and Certifications:
<ul>
<li>Registered Dietitian (RD) certification within 90 days.</li>
<li>DC Department of Health - Board of Dietetics and Nutrition certification within 90 days.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Skills:
<ul>
<li>Current knowledge in clinical dietetics and proficiency in Electronic Medical Records.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.</li>
<li>Flexibility in schedule and tasks, with comfort in public speaking.</li>
