CLINICAL THERAPIST
SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Clinical Therapist provides counseling and therapy services to clients with substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Clinical Therapist conducts individual and group therapy under the structured framework of state and federal law, the counseling and/or social work code of ethics, SFRC/FCDRC policies and procedures.
 
The Clinical Therapist is responsible for creating and maintaining a trauma-informed, client-centered, therapeutic and safe environment for clients and staff. The Clinical Therapist is expected to work with SFRC/FCDRC leadership and staff to develop, promote, and maintain cultural proficiency throughout the organization.
 
REPORTING:
Reports to the Clinical Supervisor
 
POSITIONS SUPERVISED:
None DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Participate in Group and Individual Supervision as scheduled and needed</li>
<li>Work with Supervisor on Supervision Plan</li>
<li>Attend all mandatory/required trainings</li>
<li>Use Evidence Based Practice modalities according to fidelity, and work with Supervisor on learning and professional development related to Evidence Based Practices</li>
<li>Ensure personal professional records and documents are in good order and standing</li>
<li>Work with Supervisor to ensure program productivity standards are met</li>
<li>Get training in and utilize the electronic health record and other organizational record-keeping systems</li>
<li>Ensure that documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with required time frames</li>
<li>Ensure all CARF, Federal, State, and organizational standards of care are being met and exceeded</li>
<li>Work with Supervisor to evaluate clinical programing and treatment outcomes, assist in research, trials, new clinical intervention roll outs, and administrative changes</li>
<li>Utilize and adhere to a holistic, trauma informed, and client centered treatment philosophy to support recovery-based health</li>
<li>Respond to client emergencies following policies and procedures and in accordance with training provided</li>
<li>Assist in coordination and collaboration with referral sources and other agencies</li>
<li>Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive client care</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality in accordance with State and Federal Law, the counseling and social work code of ethics, and organizational policy and procedure</li>
<li>Attend all mandatory Staff Meetings and Training</li>
<li>Perform other duties as required by your Supervisor</li>
</ul>
 
 
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
<ol>
<li>Must be computer literate in order to effectively maintain compliance with BHSD Standards and requirements for the use of computerized client assessment, data systems, etc.</li>
<li>In the case of recovering SUD individuals, they must have successfully maintained a two (2) year period of recovery</li>
<li>Maintain a current, valid NM Driver’s License. Must also have and maintain a clean driving record and auto insurance</li>
<li>Bi-Lingual/Bi-Cultural preferred</li>
</ol>
Education and Experience:
<ol>
<li>Current New Mexico Board licensure as LSAA, LADAC, LMHC, LPCC, LMSW, LCSW, LISW, LMFT</li>
<li>Experience working with clients with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders, providing individual and group psychotherapy</li>
