We are looking for an RN-Med/Surg nurse to provide the highest degree of care and treatment to ill, injured, and recovering patients. You should be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records, and provide patients with support and education. Likewise, you will assist physicians during examinations and procedures, as well as perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of your practice.&nbsp;
 
Your role as an RN-Med/Surg nurse also involves promoting patient independence by establishing patient care goals. Additionally, you should be able to teach patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills utilizing your knowledge and skills.
 
To be a successful RN-Med/Surg, you should be able to rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, and you will benefit from being creative, quick-thinking, and a good communicator.
 
Responsibilities:

<li>Assess the psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs of patients.</li>
<li>Review patient history and physical with the patients and/or their family members and assure completion within an appropriate timeframe.</li>
<li>Review all available information obtained by other health care team members.</li>
<li>Formulate an individualized care plan, including a discharge plan, using the assessment data, as well as the input of the patient, family, and healthcare team.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Evaluate patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members.</li>
<li>Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate documents in the patient record.</li>
<li>Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.</li>

What is ABA? Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated approach that improves behavior by applying behavioral principles. ABA therapy helps individuals with autism and other developmental disorders by enhancing essential skills and improving their overall quality of life.
Your Role:
<ul>
<li>Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to clients in their homes.</li>
<li>Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress, and prepare it for presentation under the supervision of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).</li>
<li>Coordinate with other program staff to ensure consistency and effectiveness of therapy programs.</li>
<li>Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding daily activities and progress of clients.</li>
<li>Implement and refine individualized ABA therapy programs.</li>
<li>Assist in developing behavior intervention plans.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure effective therapy and support.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback on performance.</li>
<li>Follow instructions diligently and ask questions to ensure clarity and effectiveness in your role.</li>
<li>Be comfortable working in a team environment or independently, depending on the needs of the program.</li>
<li>Must have reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes.</li>

What We're Looking For:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.</li>
<li>Experience with ABA therapy or working with children with special needs is a plus but not required.</li>
<li>RBT certification is preferred, but if you are not currently certified, we require a commitment to obtain certification within 60 days. We offer a pay increase and reimbursement for certification costs upon completion.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and adapt to the physical demands of the role.</li>
<li>Willingness to obtain In-Person First Aid/CPR certification</li>
<li>Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation to (we do not transport clients) and up to date insurance.</li>

If you have experience as a behavior technician, paraprofessional, child care staff, teacher, special needs professional, or early childhood teacher, you might be an excellent fit for this role.
