Matrix Providers is hiring a Dental Hygienist to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Makalapa, Hawaii.
Naval Health Clinic Hawaii (NHCH) reserves the right to reassign the primary work location of contracted personnel based on scheduling needs and operational requirements to meet NHCH mission objectives. NHCH will provide 30-day notice to the contracted personnel when work locations are reassigned, the notice will specify the reassigned work location, effective dates, and relevant details. Should the primary work location close due to renovations, compelling circumstances (i.e. equipment failures) or emergency closures, temporary reassigned work location will be performed at any DHA medical treatment facility located within a 40-mile radius of NHCH. Reimbursement will not be provided for travel within a 40-mile radius of the place of performance.

In no instance will the health care worker (HCW) be required to provide services in excess of forty (40) hours per week.</li>

The Dental Hygienist must have and meet the following:

<li>Degree: Associate degree or bachelor’s degree depending on the program.</li>
<li>Education: Successful completion of a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA).</li>
<li>Equivalency Determination Request: The Contractor may not request an equivalency determination as a substitute for education requirements.</li>
<li>Certifications: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Course. Certified in radiography as required.</li>
<li>Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Dental Hygienist.</li>
<li>Legal Authorization to Work in the United States: The contract worker performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen.</li>

Dental Hygienist General Duties:
<ul>
<li>Contractor personnel shall perform a full range of duties consistent with their labor category, education, training, experience, clinical privileges (as applicable), and assigned position. General duties that apply to all personnel or across certain labor categories are given below.</li>
<li>Maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services.</li>
<li>Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities.</li>
<li>Practice aseptic techniques as necessary. Comply with infection control guidelines to include the proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious wastes, and the use of universal precautions to prevent the spread of infection.</li>
<li>Function with an awareness and application of safety procedures.</li>
<li>Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events. Anticipate potential problems/emergencies and make appropriate interventions. Notify supervisor, director, or other designated person regarding problems that the HCW is unable to manage.</li>
<li>Apply an awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and strive to manage situations in a reduced risk manner.</li>

<li>Participate in continuing education to meet own professional growth.</li>
<li>Attend and/or comply with all annual training classes required by the Command, to include but not limited to online annual training provided by the MTF: disaster training, infection control, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire and Safety, Chemical, Biological, and Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE).</li>
<li>Actively participate in the command’s Performance Improvement Program. Participate in meetings to review and evaluate the care provided to patients, identify opportunities to improve the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when problems exist.</li>
<li>Attend and participate in various meetings as directed.</li>
<li>Perform timely, accurate, and concise documentation of patient care.</li>
<li>Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CHCS, CDS/CDA, DENTRIX, MHS Genesis and Clinical Information System (CIS), participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk Management (RM) functions, as prescribed by the Commander. Maintain DOD email account as directed.</li>
<li>The HCW shall be responsive to all email and voicemail communications.</li>
<li>Exercise appropriate clinical delegation of tasks and duties in the clinical direction and coordination of health care team members, patient care, and clinic activities.</li>
<li>Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinic directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required. All records and reports must be legible. Abbreviations must be only those listed in local instructions.</li>

Dental Hygienist Core Duties:
<ul>
<li>Provide clinical direction to supporting government employees assigned to him or her during the performance of clinical procedures. Such direction and interaction will comply with government and professional clinical standards and accepted protocols.</li>
<li>The HCW will be subject to guidelines set forth in the Command's quality assurance and risk management instructions. The HCW shall perform administrative duties that include maintaining statistical records of his or her clinical workload, participating in dental education programs, preparing documentation for boards, and participating in clinical staff quality assurance functions at the prerogative of the Commanding Officer.</li>
<li>Inspect head and neck, examine mouth, throat and pharynx for evidence of disease such as oral cancer and/or soft tissue pathosis.</li>
<li>Expose, develop and interpret radiographs to identify tooth structure, periodontal support and other abnormalities such as periodontal bone loss, periapical pathosis, caries, defective restorations, improper tooth contours and contact relationships.</li>
<li>Refer suspected medical conditions, hard and soft tissue abnormalities, caries, periapical and periodontal pathosis and traumatic or suspicious lesions to the dental officer for evaluation.</li>
<li>Obtain blood pressure on patients presenting for treatment.</li>
<li>Perform subgingival scaling, root planning and curettage under local anesthesia administered by a dental officer or the dental hygienist and perform topical fluoride applications. Local anesthesia via injection may be administered by the dental hygienist only if licensed to administer local anesthesia and competency (initial as well as ongoing) requirements for local anesthesia administration have been met.</li>
<li>Plan and adapt oral home care techniques to the specific need of the individual patient.</li>
<li>Monitor, provide technical direction and assist in training dental technicians involved in direct patient care to perform scaling, prophylaxes, polishing procedures, fluoride applications and oral home care instructions. This may include preparing and presenting scheduled lectures to staff.</li>
<li>Maintain a record of patient treatment and number of patients treated.</li>
<li>Record oral condition of teeth and supporting tissues, type of therapy provided and progress notes.</li>
<li>Clean and maintain instruments and ensure their sterility.</li>
<li>Treat acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis.</li>
<li>Assist in Oral Diagnosis Sick call to include exposing and developing periapical, bitewing and panoral radiographs.</li>
<li>Clean and maintain the work area to meet the clinic's standards and may be assigned other duties as directed by the Commanding Officer, consistent with the normal duties of a dental hygienist (not to include mopping, sweeping or taking trash to an industrial dumpster).</li>
<li>Administration of local anesthesia (infiltration and block anesthesia) is not a required qualification; however, if the appropriate background training and credentials exist, clinical privileges may be granted.</li>

Familiar Roads Home Healthcare is seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to support clients in Wilkes-Barre and surrounding communities in Luzerne County. Help individuals live independently and safely in their homes by providing essential care and daily support services.
Qualifications (Required)
Applicants must meet the following Pennsylvania state and agency requirements:

Completed Competency Exam or PA-compliant training program per Department of Health (DOH) standards
</li>

Current CPR Certification
</li>

Recent TB Test &amp; Physical Exam (within the past 12 months) — QuantiFERON-TB Gold or equivalent accepted

Our established and growing family dental practice is interviewing for registered dental hygienists to be a part of our team. We are a family focused practice offering gentle and tailored care to our patients with the top and newest technology. As a dental hygienist you will promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis; providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies; charting conditions of decay and disease; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.
Duties include:
-Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping patient. -Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments. -Selects materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health. -Complete dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planing procedures -Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums; using probes to locate -periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession; exposing and developing radiographic studies. -Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions; providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit. -Documents dental hygiene services and record and maintain records -Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. -Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. -Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
