POSITION SUMMARY 
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is primarily responsible for supporting urgent care operations by assessing and treating patients, working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. The APP must effectively communicate with patients while showing compassion for their individual situations. The APP must be organized and able to prioritize tasks in a demanding work environment. Locations may vary pending on business needs. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

<li>The APP will assist in outpatient patient care and provide a seamless transition through continuum of care. </li>
<li>Collaborate with supervising physician on patient care.</li>
<li>Streamline communications with referring physicians both internal and external to Sano. </li>
<li>Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status by taking health histories and performing physical examinations in clinical area. </li>

<li>Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.</li>
<li>Order laboratory and tests.</li>

<li>Prescribing medicine and other treatments.</li>

<li>Confer with collaborating physician and other health professionals in area of clinical expertise.</li>
<li>Provide formal education to both internal and external groups pertinent to area of specialty.</li>
<li>Participate in quality improvement and/or research initiatives for specific patient population as appropriate. </li>
<li>Provides comprehensive teaching strategies for patients and their families.</li>
<li> Complete appropriate CME, maintain MO and KS licenses and DEA numbers.</li>
<li> Attends mandatory full staff and clinical meetings and acknowledges receipt of and reviews minutes if absent. </li>
<li>Participates in the shared on-call rotation for advanced practice providers, providing patient care coverage after hours, on weekends, and during holidays as assigned. </li>

Schedule:

<li>Four 10-hour shifts per week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:45 AM 5:15 PM </li>
