ABOUT THIS REHABILITATION ROLE
The schedule for this Physical Therapy Assistant position consists of 32 hours per week during daytime hours, providing a consistent framework for work-life integration.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will direct implementation of physical therapy treatment plans as prescribed by our Physical Therapists. A key aspect of the role will be instruction in therapeutic exercises and techniques, such as range of motion and ambulation, to ensure consistent and safe support for our young members. <li>Record food and fluid intake and output.</li>
<li>Help patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.</li>
<li>Apply compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles.</li>
<li>Inventory and requisition supplies and instruments.</li>
<li>Clean rooms and make beds.</li>
<li>Supervise nurses' aides and assistants.</li>
<li>Make appointments, keep records and perform other clerical duties in doctors' offices and clinics.</li>
<li>Provide medical treatment and personal care to patients in private home settings, such as cooking, keeping rooms orderly, seeing that patients are comfortable and in good spirits, and instructing family members in simple nursing tasks.</li>
<li>Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms.</li>
<li>Prepare food trays and examine them for conformance to prescribed diet.</li>
<li>Wash and dress bodies of deceased persons.</li>
<li>Assist in delivery, care, and feeding of infants.</li>

<li>Experience : One to two years related experience</li>
<li>Computer Skills: Microsoft Office</li>
<li>Certificates &amp; Licenses: Valid Louisiana RN/LPN license, CPR certification</li>
<li>Preferred: pediatric experience, ventilator experience, trach experience, gastrostomy feeding experience, experience with long term care patients both adult and pediatric.</li>
