 Josephs House is a residential respite care home in NW Washington, DC that serves primarily previously homeless men and women with advanced HIV disease and/or terminal cancer. For most of these residents, some combination of mental illness, stigma, isolation, substance abuse, poverty, and/or domestic violence have prevented them from successfully managing their HIV disease and cancer. Once medically stabilized, many Josephs House residents transition to post-residential case management. These services include medication management, housing, counseling, life skills training, advocacy, transportation, and community activities. Job Summary: The Director of Care Services at Josephs House is a multidisciplinary team member, including a registered nurse, clinical coordinator, executive director, and staff, who provides comprehensive intake, assessment, discharge planning, and case management services to all Josephs House Community members. LAYC is hiring School-Based Mental Health Therapists to provide prevention, early intervention and individual/family therapy services to students and the school community. The School-Based Mental Health Therapist will be assigned full-time to a school and will work closely with staff at the school to support students and their families. Clinical supervision, LAYC meetings, and trainings may take place at LAYC or other locations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Provides therapy to a caseload of 15-20 students, including individual and family services, diagnostic assessment, and some clinical case management services.</li>
<li>Collaborates with the professional educational team (teachers, principals, school counselors, social workers, etc.) at the school, working cooperatively and creatively to meet student needs and remove mental health and behavioral barriers to learning.</li>
<li>Provides education to students and families to reduce stigma related to mental health treatment.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the school wellness team to support prevention services for the whole school community to create a positive school climate including those focusing on resilience, wellness and effective coping with stress. Prevention services may include services delivered to school staff, parents, and students.</li>
<li>Delivers early interventions to students who have been identified as having risk factors by facilitating student groups or providing consultation to caregivers and staff.</li>
<li>Provides continuity of care to students during school vacations and summer break by providing ongoing services to students and families at home, community or at LAYC.</li>
<li>Support students in crisis with risk assessments, safety planning, and support.</li>
<li>Documents all services in electronic database within 48 hours.</li>
<li>Meets weekly with Clinical Supervisor for individual supervision and participates in Group Clinical Supervision. </li>
<li>Updates clearances and completes training as required by DBH regulations.</li>

EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

<li>Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.</li>
<li>At minimum Graduate-level license in the District of Columbia (LGSW or LGPC).</li>
<li>At least two years of experience working with youth experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse challenges.</li>

General Accountability:
TULSA-PRO clinical scientists educate, mentor, and collaborate with urologists, radiologists, and their staff on the technical and clinical aspects of MRI-guided transurethral ultrasound ablation of the prostate using Profound Medical's TULSA-PRO system. They also contribute to the strategic generation of clinical evidence supporting TULSA-PRO in support of reimbursement and utilization, and the development of meaningful improvements to the TULSA-PRO technology. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li> Guide physicians and staff during TULSA procedures at hospitals and imaging centers in their region based on best practices from expert sites and from the latest clinical literature.</li>
<li> Troubleshooting first-of-a-kind situations in the field, which requires in-depth understanding of the technology and its application to urology, as well as the humility and confidence to work collaboratively and effectively under pressure.</li>
<li> Assist physicians with TULSA-PRO patient selection and pre-treatment planning, and perform in-depth post-treatment analyses identifying rate-limiting steps and areas for improvement to coach physicians and their teams towards more efficient procedure workflow and optimal patient outcomes across a wide variety of prostate disease states.</li>
<li> Contribute to the design and execution of sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials, and collaborate with key opinion leaders in urology and radiology on conference abstracts and publications.</li>
<li> Partner with sales and marketing teams to educate potential customers, contribute to patient education events, streamline the initiation of new sites, and identify areas where we can help existing customers offer TULSA to more patients.</li>
<li> Serve as subject matter experts within the company, providing technical and clinical education for our sales, marketing, engineering, and management teams.</li>
<li> Contribute expertise to cross-functional projects on topics that include development of regulatory documents and strategy, engineering investigations of MRI sequences / RF compatibility / ultrasound applicator design, scientific guidance on acoustic and thermal simulations of the TULSA treatment algorithm, and incorporation of artificial intelligence and new technologies into the product.</li>
