Job Description
Position Summary: The Procedure Scheduler is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and confirming interventional pain management procedures. This position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth experience for patients by communicating clearly, verifying insurance requirements, and collaborating closely with clinical staff and providers.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Schedule and confirm all pain management procedures in a timely, accurate manner.</li>
<li>Communicate pre-procedure instructions and preparation requirements to patients.</li>
<li>Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and coordinate with referring offices.</li>
<li>Work closely with providers and nursing staff to manage the daily and weekly procedure schedule.</li>
<li>Update and maintain accurate information in the electronic health record (EHR).</li>
<li>Manage scheduling changes, cancellations, and rescheduling requests.</li>
<li>Provide excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>1+ year of experience in a medical office or scheduling environment preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in pain management or specialty scheduling strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes.</li>
<li>Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.</li>
</ul>
