Job Title: Ophthalmic Assistant (Patient Care Coordinator) Status: Hourly – Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
Digitally advanced Tele-Optometric company seeking professionally motivated candidate to assist with the building of a center of excellence while working hand and hand with a busy optical retailer. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for learning, willingness to think outside the box, outgoing personality and excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.

Essential Job Duties:

<li>Patient scheduling along with basic knowledge of vision CPT/ICD-10 codes</li>
<li>Familiarity with vision insurance eligibility and payment collection using POS technology</li>

Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. 
A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with strong skills in OB anatomy, breast, and general ultrasound imaging. This contract position is based in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, offering a dynamic role that combines inpatient and outpatient settings while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:

<li>Minimum of 3 years total ultrasound technician experience, including outpatient setting expertise</li>
<li>Proficient in OB anatomy, breast, and general ultrasound procedures</li>
<li>Preferred experience with musculoskeletal, vascular (venous studies), and neonatal head and hip imaging</li>
<li>Skilled in order review and protocol assistance in outpatient settings</li>
<li>ARDMS or ARRT certification in Ultrasound required</li>
<li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory</li>
<li>Travel experience is a plus but not required</li>
<li>Ability to float between inpatient and outpatient departments</li>
<li>Must reside 50+ miles outside of Fairbanks and provide two supervisor references</li>

Schedule and Shift Details:

<li>Three 12-hour shifts per week, variable days (typically Thursday and Friday 6:45 AM 7:15 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM 7:00 PM)</li>
<li>On-call shifts include one 24-hour shift per week (usually Tuesday) and one rotating weekend shift every six weeks, with additional variable on-call as needed</li>
<li>Weekend and holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis</li>
