INTRODUCTION
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Health Center Director, the Medical Assistant provides basic patient care in a community health center setting. Working with health care providers and other health center employees, the Medical Assistant is an integral part of the patient care team. The Medical Assistant is directly responsible for, but not limited to, initiating medical history, vital signs, height, weight, preparing patients for examination, reporting special problems or complaints to providers, assist in making appropriate health center/referral appointments for patients, and assist with follow up of missed appointments.

MAJOR DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

<li>Maintains patient and Electronic Health Record (EHR) confidentiality.</li>
<li>Prepares patient and EHR for provider visit, reports special problems or complaints to the provider, and assists during exam as needed.</li>
<li>Accurately performs and documents basic vital signs, height, weight, chief complaint, and initiates appropriate medical and social history for adult and pediatric patients.</li>
<li>Performs routine lab and patient intake procedures (i.e. standing orders, urine dipsticks, phlebotomy, finger/heel sticks, injections/immunizations, and EKG). </li>
<li>Maintains proper cleanliness and organization of office and medical areas including proactively restocking supplies and Family Planning resource center as needed.</li>
<li>Executes Pre-Visit Planning for Primary Provider and Patient -Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team. </li>
<li>Regularly provides basic chronic disease health education to patients as necessary.</li>
<li>Assists with processing appropriate referrals and appointments for patients, obtaining authorizations as needed, and follows up to determine if appointments were kept as scheduled.</li>
<li>Communicates and assists in effective discharge of the patient.</li>
<li>Maintains all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, eye wash stations, oxygen, autoclave fluid change and spore testing, etc.)</li>
<li>Maintains surgical instruments, clean and prepare sterilization as required.</li>
<li>Demonstrates appropriate customer service with internal and external customers.</li>
<li>Follows Universal Precautions and Unity Health Care policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Duties and Responsibilities
General:

<li>Focus on providing emergency utility assistance and ensuring EOC contract compliance for the State of Colorado.</li>
<li>Provide emergency utility assistance to clients over the phone for Colorado zip codes where there is limited or no Salvation Army presence.</li>
<li>Serve as the primary point of contact for Service Extension (S/E) assistance calls within the Intermountain Division.</li>
<li>Handle all Service Extension requests and process all associated check requests for the Intermountain Division.</li>
<li>Respond to and resolve all utility assistance-based calls, including follow-up to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.</li>
<li>Make public training presentations for units, programs, and other representatives.</li>
<li>Facilitate frontline users with the use of required databases to track and process service requests.</li>

Education/Experience

Position: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
<ul>
<li>Hourly Pay: $20–$26/hr for direct billable hours (based on experience)</li>
<li>Training, onboarding, and drive time: Paid at $12.50/hr</li>
<li>Sign on Bonus- $500 after 90 days in the field&nbsp;</li>
<li>Training completion Bonus- $1,000 when completed within assigned timeline</li>
<li>Paid RBT certification training provided within your first month of employment &nbsp;</li>
</ul>
What You’ll Do
<ul>
<li>Work directly with children who have an Autism diagnosis, using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to build skills and confidence.</li>
<li>Make learning fun by playing, being silly, and helping kids shine.</li>
<li>Follow individualized treatment plans designed to support growth and success.</li>
<li>Record progress with a company-provided Chromebook.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Partner with families to carry over skills outside of sessions.</li>
<li>Be a steward of ATS’s mission, vision, values, and beliefs. (added 8/29/25) &nbsp;</li>

What We’re Looking For
<ul>
<li>High school diploma, or GED (minimum) and 18+ years old.</li>
<li>Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities (or related coursework).</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation. This is not a position where rideshare or public transportation can be used.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Candidates with evening/after-school availability preferred (sessions typically 2–6 hours, Monday–Friday).</li>
<li>General knowledge of computer systems, including Windows and Google products.&nbsp;</li>
