Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities

About the Role We’re seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a background in internal medicine or primary care. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a slower-paced, relationship-based care model and values quality over quantity in patient interactions.
Core Responsibilities In collaboration with our internal medicine physician, the Family Nurse Practitioner will:

Provide comprehensive care, including routine exams, urgent visits, and follow-ups

Diagnose and treat acute conditions such as infections, minor injuries, and skin issues
</li>
<li>
Manage chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and lipid disorders

Offer both in-person and telehealth consultations
</li>
<li>
Review labs, manage prescriptions, and communicate directly with patients
</li>
<li>
Coordinate care with specialists and assist in referrals
</li>

Perform basic procedures including EKGs, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and minor clinical tasks

Participate in optional home visits or after-hours care, based on availability

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted NP license in Washington, D.C.
</li>

Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
</li>

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in internal medicine or primary care
</li>

Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a team
</li>
<li>
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and patient-centered care
